About this project
Due to Kickstarters low quality video's, check the trailer out in 1080p at our youtube
The world of Death of Humanity is about 5km x 5km in size allowing for a large vast world that is also not to large to never encounter human players while traveling foryour survival.
Last Man Standing
Death of Humanity will feature two game-modes, the 1st to be released to the public will be a Survival of the Fittest/ Last Man Standing game-type where all players will be placed randomly within the games world and will have to scavenge and kill all other remaining survivors within the 30 minute match. More variations of this game-type will be considered in future development.
The 2nd Game-type Survival Mode will be released after the initial Last Man Standing. You are one of the few who have survived and now you must search the world of DoH in order to fight for your life against the infected. Go Solo, team up with friends or take on the world as you choose your path in this brutal and chilling landscape using whatever means you come across to survive the now harsh world.
With your funding and the power of UE4 we at Dingosnest want to bring a level of quality never before seen in multi-player open world zombie survival genre. Say goodbye to wall phasing zombies!
In order to get DoH out there and into your hands as soon as we can, if funding is reached we will be looking to release the first phase of DoH with just the survival of the fittest game-mode released for December 2016. Players will be able to buy it for a lower price during Survival Of The Fittest stage, play it, and give us feedback and suggestions. The game will eventually migrate into final Beta Release stage. Releasing survival game-mode in Q1 2017, we want nothing more than to have Death of Humanity created. It's a game that we want to make, want you to play and enjoy with us.
The Future Of DoH
-Drone vehicles (can carry small quantities of ammunition and bring hell on other survivors) brining a new element of survival
-Multiple zombie archetypes
-Marketplace content designed for consumers not money hungry business models.
-Exploring the option of console ports.
-Vehicles (possibility for physics based damage system)
-More advance zombie AI to make zombies more of a threat then just a moving sentry wall.
-Creating more variations of Last Man Standing to bring the next level of competitive play the genre is missing.
We are asking for $60,000, a goal that will allow us a full-time development window of at least 6 months to 12 months. We expect to have initial release for December.
Anything higher then the $60,000 mark will be used to outsource work, higher more employee's for modelling, coding, animating. We have access to local talent that has worked on such games as LA Noire and Halo, if enough money is raised we can expand the team with veterans of the industry.
We will never leave you with an unfinished project like other kickstarters have done before.
This section will be updated the closer we get to the minimum goal.
Why Support Death Of Humanity?
The staff of Dingosnest have been working on Death Of Humanity full time to bring a product to the people, and while we managed to finish a bit of work, there’s still a full road ahead. Open World games are big games with lots of content, and systems - that is why we need your funding to help us keep our staff on full-time and hire additional staff to speed up production of the game. We’re not just trying to build one great game – we want to keep delivering new and amazing titles to you as the years go by. But first we need to get Death Of Humanity finished, and that’s going to take the support of fans like you.
Where does the money go? It pays salaries, goes to licenses for software and equipment, outsourcing the workload and gives us flexibility to bring on additional people at certain stages of the project (like animators, for instance). We’re asking for the BARE MINIMUM to keep development going, but we’ve also got stretch goals that will allow us to speed development time, add more content and just make a better overall game for you to enjoy. Once we get funded, we will be showing off our progress here, our YouTube and on our forums and website regularly.
