In Panic Mode! you and your fellow players take on the role of various office workers and hilarity ensues. The tracking cards Mainframe, Morale and Customer Satisfaction begin the game at zero and the ultimate goal is to recover them to their safe zones within 25 minutes by playing the best cards possible.
The cards you play may have positive or negative effects. As the cards are played it will become clear who is fighting, who cut corners, who is helpful, who is making mistakes and whether you are prepared for this scenario and have the resources you need to recover on time or fall into common pitfalls and regret past decisions.
FIRST set the tracking cards to zero to indicate that everything is broken. Your systems are down. Your morale is in the dumps. Your customers are not pleased.
THEN each player takes a seat and randomly chooses a role card. Assign players to be in charge of moving the tracking cards.
AND each player receives two cards. Sometimes cards will be stolen or discarded from your hand, so you draw up to 2 cards at the beginning and end of your turn, every turn.
Set a timer for 25 minutes.
On your turn, you must play one card if you are able. Play your best card. Play your funniest card. Play the card that makes a point to your colleagues.
If you are able to get all of the tracking cards to their safe zones within the time limit, you win!
If we rocket past our funding goal, we will add bonuses at these levels!
Panic Mode! will partner with fulfillment companies around the world to provide friendly shipping to the EU, Canada, Australia and the USA.
Risks and challenges
There are a lot of logistics that go into manufacturing a card game and shipping it around the world - from manufacturing to freight to import taxes to shipping, and all the messy details in between.
Fortunately for me (and many others) this is a well-traveled path with a lot of great minds that love to share their information. We are following in the footsteps of many successfully Kickstarted games before us.
Hiccups can happen. We will provide transparency into any issues we face and provide updates along the way. We also built in a bit of cushion into the timeline.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
