The OktoberFist is the world's first Bavarian-styled beer-drinking glove. It is designed to increase comfort while holding large (or small) beer glasses. An integrated pocket securely holds your cash and cards for easy access in hectic festival situations, and The OktoberFist is as tough as it is handsome. Basically, it's the greatest thing to happen to hands since fingers.
The OktoberFist was developed and tested in the epic tents of the world's largest beer festival; Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany. Let's take a look at how it works...
First, The OktoberFist has been designed to support your hand and protect your finger when drinking from the large 1-liter beer glass, called a "Maβ" (mass) in german. At 2.35 kg (5.18 lbs) these large glasses can put a lot of pressure on your drinking hand, leading to soreness and bruising. Fortunately, now there's a better way.
Second, the integrated wrist-mounted pocket securely stores your cash, cards, or other drinking related accessories. Now you can quickly access your methods of payment without a cumbersome search through your pants, jacket, or bag. Pay for your drink and get back to the party.
Third, The OktoberFist is high-quality craftsmanship. A refined and modern beer drinking accessory, The OktoberFist is made of durable high quality leather and is expertly stitched together. Attractive and rugged, The OktoberFist is perfect for festivals, parties, or just hanging out having a beer with friends.
The OktoberFist makes a fantastic gift for anybody who loves beer, Okotberfest, or just likes to have a good time. It's the perfect gift for that hard-to-buy-for person (or people) in your life. From birthdays to bachelor parties, give the gift of style and comfort. Give them something they've never seen before. Give gift of The OktoberFist.
We put a lot of hard work into making The OktoberFist something special and unique because we really wanted to have one for ourselves. Upon showing it to others, their reaction was similar; they wanted one too! Thus, we've spent over 2 years perfecting our creation to something we are very proud of and now it's time to bring it to the world. But we need your pledges to achieve critical Maβ to start a large scale production. Luckily we have some great rewards waiting for our backers.
For helping us reach our goal, we want to give you some really good stuff. No t-shirts, stickers, or magnets here. We have something for everybody, and the awesomeness starts at just $1...
All pledges of $1 or more will receive a shout-out on social media, and all pledges of $5 or more will receive a personal video thank you. That means almost every reward is more than one reward. What a deal!
*Note: All toasts for the "Video Thanks" reward will be shot in one sitting. We will drink a toast to every backer in order of amount pledged, ending with those who pledged the most. Things might get "interesting" towards the end but we will try our very best. If you would like us to mention something specific in our toast to you, let us know, and we'll work it in. Alternatively, if you would like us to use an alias, or would simply NOT like to be mentioned in the toast, please let us know. This reward is included with every pledge of $5 or more.
**Note: In "The Bro Down" reward you and a friend will join the creators of The OktoberFist in Munich at the end of September this year. Dates will be coordinated after the campaign closes. You will be responsible for your own transportation to Munich, Germany. For legal reasons you must be over 18 years of age to participate in the Bro Down.
See the sizing chart below to make sure you get the properly sized OktoberFist. Measure the circumference of your wrist and hand and pick the appropriate size when choosing your reward. And don't forget to specify right or left hand.
One year, after a particularly awesome evening at Munich's Oktoberfest, we realized we had developed a slight drinking problem. No, not that kind of drinking problem.
We were experiencing a soreness in our hands after a long night of lifting the heavy 1-liter beer glasses. With our Ph.D.s in Engineering, years of experience in prototyping and product development, and a love of beer and Oktoberfest, we created the marvel of modern drinking technology you're now reading about.
We have spent 2 years developing and perfecting our creation, and even worked with several professional tailors and a physiotherapist. Add to that hundreds of hours of user testing, and what you have is something very, very unique and special.
Disclaimer: An incredible amount of work has gone into making the OktoberFist as comfortable as possible. However, we must explicitly state that The OktoberFist is intended for novelty use only. The OktoberFist is not a licensed orthopedic device, and should not be used as one. If you require a supportive device for your wrist and/or hand, please consult a licensed medical professional. Seems obvious, right?

Risks and challenges
We've spent the last 2 years perfecting our design, right down to the last millimeter. The OktoberFist has been tested and meets all expectations.
Fulfillment of rewards is always a big risk on Kickstarter, and this project is no exception. A delay in production or missed shipment causes a delay in when our backers get their rewards. However, we've spent 8 months focusing on production to ensure these delays are minimized. We have manufacturers standing by ready to start producing. They've been checked for quality and ability to produce, so we're confident we can meet any volume of support we receive. The risk can never be completely eliminated, but we've done our best to mitigate it as far as possible.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
