MBJ is currently in post production. When making a film, post production is often the most challenging and time consuming part of the process. It is here in post that many films find themselves in a place they can't escape and all to often never come to completion. The purpose of this final campaign is to make sure that not only is the film completed to its fullest potential but that it will also have the opportunity to find its audience through festivals and marketing.
For the past two years (since our successful pre-production kickstarter campaign) I have been amazed at the journey this film has taken me on! Just being able to shoot this film in the city of New Haven would have been worth it in itself! but getting the opportunity to work with so many talented people (from both sides of the camera) went way beyond my expectations! Not to mention the countless number of people (like you) that have taken the time to get involved in a variety of ways.
So as we come down to the final days I am asking for you to join us in completing this journey and help us get this film seen by as many people as possible. As a storyteller that is all you could ever truly ask for.
We will use this Kickstarter campaign as a way of communicating with you, the Backers and Fans, keeping you involved in the process as we move closer to the completion of production, marketing and festival screenings.
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about My Brother Jack. Be sure to check out our list of rewards on the right. We also have some exciting news we plan to reveal over the course of the Kickstarter campaign so be sure to check back in often and help us spread the word.
Film Synopsis: Twenty years ago, on Christmas Eve, celebrated artist JACK BURNS and his brother VINCENT witnessed the murder of their parents in cold blood. Now the man convicted of the murders is released from prison and is found brutally stabbed to death the same day. Who killed the killer?
All signs point to Vincent who battles the demons of mental illness and sleep paralysis – a condition that blurs the line between the real and unreal.
To protect his brother, Jack is forced to confront his own demons and uncover the truth of what really happened the night his parents died - A truth that threatens to burn away his life of fame and fortune with murder and lies.
