Large scale silkscreen for Grand Rapids Art Prize exhibition. Read more

About this project
I have been creating a silkscreen style since 2010. It involves very fast wiping of the screen and without most of the original ways a silkscreen is supposed to be printed.
So far, I have created a few dozen of these works and they usually sell within a few months or less of creation. They are inspired by artists like Mark Rothko, Helen Frankenthaler and Robert Motherwell, among others. I've recently been interested in moving beyond the smaller scale prints that I do and go for large scale projects and thought Kickstarter was a great venue for me to try to get that to happen.
The funds raised will be used to buy the supplies, canvases, papers, inks, squeegees and help that will be involved in creating this project. There will also be a book designed and professionally printed showcasing the series as a whole, as well as showing the production, completion and installation of the 8' x 4' works I will be making. Additional funds will be used for transportation and housing/storage purposes.
