Just over $10,500, but only 9 days left!

Hi, all,

Deliriously happy to have passed the $10,000 mark. Very cool, and so much appreciated! However, we only have 9 days left to raise nearly $15,000. Please continue to spread the word wherever you can. To this end, we've posted another new $150 premium:

"Your choice of 25 e-books published by ChiZine Publications, plus e-book of Fearful Symmetries when released, plus acknowledgment in both print and electronic editions of Fearful Symmetries."

Thanks, everyone, and Happy New Year!!

Brett, Matt, Ellen, and Sandra

Two more weeks to go

Posted by Ellen Datlow (Creator)

I thank all of you who have graciously donated to Fearful Symmetries.

We've  now hit the halfway point with regard to time. We haven't yet hit that point with funding.  I realize that:

1) this is a relatively expensive project. But the money covers everything: contributor payment, payment to me, cover art and design, copy editing, proofreading, marketing, distribution, and mailings (and a small percentage to KS and amazon, for processing payments).

2) The weeks before the holidays are probably not ideal to ask for funding for a relatively expensive project, so I'm happy that we've gotten more than $8000 in pledges as of tonight.

3) I feel really weird about push push pushing and nag nag nagging but I'll keep doing it till it's over and we make the money or we don't....I hope you all will mention Fearful Symmetries on whatever social media you use. (we've been Boing Boinged which is always helpful).

4) I'm really excited about editing another un-themed horror anthology (my first was Inferno). I've got some great writers lined up who are figuratively, chomping at the bit and ready to write. (you know who you are Jeff Ford) and I have to say wait wait. This may not go ahead....don't start yet...

So make Jeff happy, make me happy...spread the word.

Thanks a lot for listening to me blather on.
