Join us for a Spectacle so GRAND, it can only be called the Supershow! The Supershow is the World’s 1st Unpredictable Game. The Supershow’s simple mechanic is designed to create balanced, exciting, back-and-forth action that will leave you begging for just one more shot at the champ. What makes a dice and card game for 2-6 players so unpredictable? The unique turn structure is like non other and allows for momentum to be completely shifted with just a dice roll. Use that momentum to play LEAD and FOLLOW UP cards, then hit your opponent with a FINISH. if they can’t BREAK OUT in 3 rolls, ring the bell it's all over.
Supershow decks are comprised of 30 cards: 15 LEADS, 12 FOLLOW UPS, and 3 FINISHES. These cards are broken down into Strikes, Grapples, and Submissions. Decks are pre constructed, however you may customize your deck by swapping out cards with cards of the same card number.
You also get your Competitor, with a unique Gimmick and Skill Chart. Keep an eye on that Skill Chart because depending on what your Competitor is best at, your cards may be more or less effective against certain opponents. For a full explanation, you can check out our rule book or a tutorial video, but in brief, here’s what you do.
Every turn, you have a TURN ROLL. All players roll their Supershow Skill Die, which displays the six skills shown on your Competitor card. Once you see which skill you rolled, you look up the skill on your Competitor card, and compare the value with what your opponent rolled. The highest value wins and that player draws 1 card and starts their turn. During their turn they may play 1 card. Rolling the same value as your opponent is a BUMP, which means that both draw a card and re-roll. You will also see your Competitor’s GIMMICK, which is a special effect that only you have access to.
The Rising Sun’s Gimmick allows him to draw a card whenever he rolls Technique.
When a player wins a TURN ROLL, they draw 1 card and start their turn. They may play 1 card. If they have nothing in play, they may only play a LEAD. If they already have a LEAD, they may play another LEAD or a FOLLOW UP. If they have a FOLLOW UP, they may play a LEAD or FOLLOW UP, or use a FINISH card, and attempt to put their opponent down for the count. The opponent doesn’t have to just sit there and take it because certain cards are STOP cards!
“Hip Toss” can be used to stop a FOLLOW UP submission. If it is used this way, then the FOLLOW UP Submission ends up in the discard pile while Hip Toss is now in play. If you have the right STOP card at the right time, you can keep the pressure off just long enough to win that next TURN ROLL and put the hurt right back where it belongs; on the other chump in the ring with you.
In the end, it comes down to winning, so it comes down to playing one of your three FINISH cards. When you throw your FINISH, your opponent has the chance to stop it, like any card. However, if they don’t then you get to roll your FINISH ROLL. This roll sets the bar for how hard it’ll be for your opponent to BREAK OUT of the move you’ve applied. A 6 or a 7 is child’s play, but if you set the bar at 10, they’re going to have to start hoping that Lady Luck’s looking for a new friend. Your opponent has three BREAKOUT ROLLS; which represents three chances to stop the referee from slapping that mat. If they match or beat your number, then they BREAK OUT and everyone loses all their hard-earned work, the crowd gets hyped to a fever pitch, advancing the CROWD METER by one, which makes the next FINISH more likely to end the brutal match.
Only the best of matches bring the CROWD METER to LEVEL 5!
If you don’t BREAK-OUT, then you’ve just become the toast of the town… just in time for the next jabroni to step up and take a shot.
