Hello everyone! It’s time to fund printing for another year’s worth of #inktober paintings, wrapped up in a softcover book for you to enjoy all together. the sublimation will be an 8.5x11" perfect bound book, printed on glossy paper in the USA, containing all 31 #inktober2017 paintings as well as 4 exclusive extras that won't be published elsewhere.
Over the past three years, Inktober has become one of my most successful and most supported projects. I’m so grateful for that, and for the opportunity to make work which not only has so much personal meaning to me, but which also delves into topics which are often given short shrift in mainstream media. the sublimation is a story about self-worth and coming to terms with one’s own value when one’s abilities and feelings have changed. It’s a story about how the complexity of trauma and the accumulation of experiences fit into our ideas of ourselves, and how difficult it is find their places in our identities And that story will be gathered together cohesively in this book.
As with my other books, I do plan to order extras, which will be available for sale on Etsy after the Kickstarter process. But as you know, when those extras are gone, they're gone, so the best way to guarantee you get a copy is by pledging here.
Risks and challenges
Anyone who has been following the inktober journey on tumblr knows that this year's project has been a bit rocky for me. I'm not concerned about the process of fulfillment, since I've now done that three times and plan to work with the same printing company. But since I am going to be working on Miegakure at the same time as this book, and I'm also dealing with some occupational injuries, I'm giving this one some extra time.
As always, I will keep my backers updated on the process and apprised of any possible delays that may arise.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
