A while ago, I was lucky enough to purchase some of the lovely Tengu miniatures from Iain Colwell. He has since moved on to run Toad King Castings, but I am looking forward to re-releasing his outstanding sculpts to the public again! This kickstarter is to fund the casting of the miniatures only. All prices are in Canadian Dollars (they will retail in USD), and are also discounted approximately 15% from retail.
The human zombie miniatures in this kickstarter are approximately 31-32mm to the top of the head, while the Tcho-Tcho are a bit smaller, at 25mm to the top of the head. All are cast in metal (90% tin) and come provided with a 20mm round (Tcho-Tcho) or 30mm lipped plastic base. I will list the height of any non-human figures in their description.
Iain was kind enough to allow me permission to use the pictures of the amazingly painted former Tengu miniatures.
Thank you to all of you who choose to support me in this and get these miniatures back in the market again!
ARTISTS & SCULPTORS:
- Swendly Benilia – Concept Artist
- Brian Luk – Graphic Artist
- Iain Colwell - Sculptor
You can only commit to one pledge at a time. If you would like other bundles or stretch goals just include enough to cover their cost and add it to your existing pledge. You will be able to choose other bundles and miniatures when you fill out your survey. I will be using Backerkit again for the surveys, like the last kickstarter. It is very easy to use and shows images of all the miniatures so it is easy to choose what you want.
Cost of shipping for:
- 1-5 miniatures: $5.00 to the USA and Canada, $7.50 to the rest of the world.
- 6+ miniatures: $10.00 for shipping in the USA and Canada, $13.00 for the rest of the world.
The Tcho-Tcho are a small-statured race originally from Southeast Asia. They are uncommon in Western nations, and have to hide their cannibalistic practices from their new neighbours.
- They measure in at 25mm to the top of the head.
Raised from the dead by black magic, these zombies from the 1920's era lust after the flesh of the living. They are approx. 31-32mm to the top of the head.
Once the star of the show, Bubo now leads his fellow zombie clowns in the search for brains amongst the audience. Bubo measures in at 31mm to the top of the head.
Why didn't the zombie eat the clown? Because he tasted funny.
The zombie clown has two different sprues available, A and B. You will be asked in the Backerkit survey to choose which one you'd prefer.
They are approx. 30mm tall to the neck.
The Tcho-Tcho Priest is UNLOCKED! He is available to purchase for $4, and will be sculpted by Iain so he will fit in nicely with the other Tcho-Tcho!
Stretch goal # 2:
If we reach $2100, three Tcho-Tcho cultists will be unlocked! They will be hooded versions of the Tcho-Tcho - possibly with mask halves...we'll have to see how they turn out when Iain sculpts them. :-)
When unlocked, they will be available for $7.00 for the pack of three.
Like the last kickstarter, all of my back catalogue of miniatures are available to purchase along with your pledge. All of them are pictured with a price – just add in the total cost of the miniatures you want to your pledge amount and pick them in the Backerkit selection process. All of my older miniatures are discounted just for this kickstarter, so pick them up at a good price!
Risks and challenges
I have successfully completed two kickstarters already, and am looking forward to another! I have an excellent caster in the UK who has all of the moulds already, so only the production moulds need to be made and the miniatures cast. Any stretch goals will need to be sculpted, so the time frame may be affected because of this.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
