About this project
On a teenager's wild whim, father and son will embark on a trip from Atlanta, Georgia, to Rouleau, Saskatchewan, in search of the mythical town of Dog River and the meaning of "Corner Gas." Once there, the son, Sam, will reenact a scene from the show. This is the scene:
We intend to make a video documentary of the trip and record the reenactment using two iPhones, two MacBook's, and the family video camera. It may not be high tech, but it will be entertaining. (Examples of other projects we've successfully completed can be viewed at www.nextintheseries.com.)
Once funded, we will get in the car on July 28, 2012 and go this way:
We'll take three days going there (stopping, along the way, in Hannibal, MO, the hometown of Mark Twain), skulk around southern Saskatchewan for two days, and return over the course of three more days using this route:
We go in search of comedy, the history of humor in North America, and, this being a movie about a road trip, we go in search of ourselves. Join us in the adventure.
