About this project
Sink is a horror short film about a disturbed man going through a strange psychosis, told through his obsession to fix his broken bathroom sink. No matter how hard he tries, his attempts only make things worse, sending him further into madness. The sink becomes a character in itself, taunting and tormenting him. If only he would just...call the plumber....
Sink will pay homage to the horror films of the 70's and 80's, by using mostly practical special effects and building suspense with psychological horror. There will be plenty of blood as well. If you're a fan of traditional horror, then this is the film for you!!!
We have an amazing crew comprised of University of Southern California graduate students from the Film and Television Production Program and the Peter Stark Producing Program. We have a love for classic horror genres and a passion for film making.
The main crew consists of: Trinity Shi (Writer/Director), Kane Mitani (Producer), Nick Pineda (Cinematographer), Wentao Wang (Editor), and John Carey (Composer) from the USC Thornton School for Scoring for Motion Pictures and Television. Recently, the talented Tommy Pietch, (from SyFy's Face Off, Season 3) has joined our crew as special effects makeup artist!
We need your help to make this film happen! We are trying to make the best film possible on a small budget, and we need the money for equipment rentals, special effects/makeup, food for the cast/crew, transportation, and post production sound design/editing.
Every dollar counts! Donations of any amount is appreciated. We would love to reach our goal or surpass it so we can make this film extra awesome!!! The more donations we receive, the better equipment we rent, the better effects and makeup we use, and the more bloody it will be!!!
Please also help us spread the word if you can. We would appreciate any tweets and posts about this project!
If you're feeling extremely selfless and generous today, then you're probably not interested in this section. A feeling of warm, self satisfaction should be enough. If not, we're offering some great incentives, ranging from digital downloads, to DVDs, posters, T-shirts, Special Thanks, props, and Executive Producer credits. Of course, you'll also have our eternal gratitude!!!
XOXO, the crew of SINK.
