Risks and challenges
We’re no strangers to risks and challenges. We’ve already overcome many to get this far, and with the help of our growing Alana community, we will continue to proactively conquer any obstacles that arise on our journey.
Fulfillment: We are already diligently working to prevent potential fulfillment delays by onboarding a second and third manufacturer in Sri Lanka. Cheynelle’s years of industry experience have given her a network of connections that uniquely position us to put this contingency plan in place, just in case our manufacturing house faces delays or is overwhelmed by orders. That said, we fully trust our manufacturer and logistics partners, and are confident in their ability to fulfill each and every order.
That’s why we start—and stick—with strong, ethical relationships.
Freight: Sri Lanka is a popular transshipment hub and occasionally freight capacity out of the country can become an issue. We are in constant collaboration with our freight service providers and will lock in this capacity in advance to ensure our shipments leave the island on time. Our team has extensive expertise in supply chain management and a robust relationship with DHL Global Forwarding in Colombo, Sri Lanka, which will continue to be a great asset for Alana.
We know how to move through (and around, above, under, across…) challenges.
Funding: Early success of this Kickstarter campaign (the first two weeks are critical for us) will give us a jumpstart on production, allowing us to lock in strategic partners and plan early. We will be looking to you, our backers, for early pledges, page interaction and other signs that will tell us whether or not our campaign will be fully funded at the end of 30 days.
The sooner we can count on your pledge, the sooner we can start production—and the sooner you’ll be wearing your Alana Flexi pants!
