By now, everyone should have received their gifts for supporting From Darkroom to Daylight. Please let me know if you haven’t.

The book’s official publication date is this week. The book has already received notice in a variety of publications, including RPS Journal (The Journal of The Royal Photographic Society) which is the oldest photography journal in the world, Lomography Magazine, and Spanish-language 20 Minutos. The New Yorker published a long piece online today called “Pathways From Darkroom to Digital” which features excerpts from my interviews with eight photographers along with their work. Included were Sally Mann, Susan Meiselas, Stephen Wilkes, Taryn Simon, Gregory Crewdson, Jonathan Torgovnik, Alex Webb and Platon.

Two more things—a short film I made about legendary photographer and printer Sid Kaplan is being shown on Monday, June 15 at the Lower East Side Film Festival. Sid and I will be at the screening, which takes place at Anthology Film Archives at 7:30. The book will be available in stores and online starting this week.
