About this project
The Story of Horace and Agnes: On a hot July evening in 2013 I asked Lynn Dowling to put on a rubber horse mask and pose with me (as a squirrel ) for a portrait. Luckily, she was a great sport and the rest is history. Between my photos and her writing we found the World of Horace and Agnes. It has been an enormous thrill and joy to bring them, and their friends, to life.
In less than 10 months, I built sets, procured props, and purchased massive amounts of vintage clothing to outfit over 18 characters. What started as simple rubber masks are now a colorful crew. They are an amalgam of all the people we have encountered in our lives, past and present. It’s been quite a ride orchestrating over 85 shoots in less than a year. Even though we love what we do, it has been financially and physically draining. With your backing, we hope to hang our show at the Griffin Museum, purchase equipment, continue to travel, and maybe find a small crew to further the story of Horace and Agnes.
What We Need:Our photography project has been offered a show at the prestigious Griffin Museum in Winchester, MA. We are currently seeking funds to help print, frame and hang the show before our opening on October 9th. The funds will also be used to help continue our project.

Horace and Agnes: Behind the Scenes
Risks and challenges
Between the two of us we have over 20 years of experience in Photography and Graphic Design. We have already had setbacks and tackled them head-on (having to reframe an entire show at the last minute). I think our unique challenge is that as the story grows and more opportunities come our way, we need to make sure we maintain our brand.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
