Buckets is the story of a relationship doomed from the first kiss. A doe-eyed young girl falls for an entitled young guy and the fated fable that follows proves disastrous for them both. This is a film about social expectations, gender roles, and fighting against the boxes we are told to squeeze into and define our lives by. This movie tells a story about waking up and realizing that what we are supposed to do doesn’t exist. It’s set to question social constructs, and how the pursuit of “happiness” is different form the pursuit of fulfillment.
Movies are important. They have the rare power of communicating ideas and distilling experiences; to confront and enlighten and expand what we know to be true. Hopefully this is the kind of film we can bring to you.
Plus, maybe someone gets thrown through a window? ☺
We will be building all original sets to form a dreamscape suburban landscape and all the universal pivotal landmarks of the idyllic life. We will be combining theatrical elements, animation, practical special effects, and stunt and fight coordination to create a truly visually distinct look that you have never seen before.

WE NEED YOU--!
The short film is the calling card of an up-and-coming director, a chance to prove personal style and prowess in the director’s seat. The format is a perfect showcase for new talent: it’s easy for studios and producers to watch and condenses qualifications. I am putting my whole heart and everything I have learned so far into this movie.
Despite the fact that our extremely talented cast and crew is all working for free, making a movie requires A LOT of money. We have to pay for the sound stage rental, set building and installation, props, costumes, G&E, lighting, transportation, and seemingly endless other things. We are currently working under a $35,000 budget. Meaning we need your help to make this film at all, and complete our budget needs.
Your generosity will ensure that Buckets will be the best film it can be. This is your chance to foster the next generation of filmmakers, to be immersed in the creative process, to witness how movies are made, and to support what we believe will be a powerful film.
You can also help us tremendously by spreading the word about Buckets. Please repost this page to your FaceBook, Twitter, Blog, and pass along to anyone who may be interested.
