A prototype is a preliminary model of something. Projects that offer physical products need to show backers documentation of a working prototype. This gallery features photos, videos, and other visual documentation that will give backers a sense of what’s been accomplished so far and what’s left to do. Though the development process can vary for each project, these are the stages we typically see:
Proof of Concept
Explorations that test ideas and functionality.
Demonstrates the functionality of the final product, but looks different.
Looks like the final product, but is not functional.
Appearance and function match the final product, but is made with different manufacturing methods.
Appearance, function, and manufacturing methods match the final product.
Are you looking for the ultimate product to stop hearing those annoying snores?
Takkon is offering the solution: the new device TK-500.
Our system is completely different from the rest. Since the snores are almost impossible to remove, in Takkon we decided to undertake another path, and there is where we could find the difference. The new device TK-500 does not remove the snoring; it removes its annoying noise. Due to the fact that snoring could be a delicate problem, which requires a medical intervention, it is convenient for the snorer to gather information and to visit a doctor in order to dismiss any kind of sleep apnea, since this is the most dangerous way of snoring. TK-500 has been created for the snorer's partner, which is who actually suffers the most.
TARGET OF THE PROJECT
This device is designed and created to mitigate the snoring sound. Our goal is clear: to reduce the snoring impact, but at the same time, we want you to be able to hear a child crying, an alarm clock or any kind of alarm, or to hold a conversation with your partner… And we've made it!
We have worked with sound engineers, electronic engineers and acoustic professionals and we have found the best interactive system based on acoustic filters. We have also had the chance to collaborate with industrial engineers in order to give shape to the device and take care of its aesthetic.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The sound is gathered by a small microphone located in the external part of the headphones, then it is transferred to the device’s speakers and this sound arrives completely filtered. But, without the slightest doubt, the main difficulty of this process was for the person wearing the headphones to be able to hear the rest of sounds, from an alarm clock to a child crying or your partner’s conversation.
HOW TO USE?
First of all, you must make sure that the device is charged. When fully charged, it can last up to 20 hours. The blue light indicates that it is optimally charged and it is ready to be used. On the contrary, a red light means that it needs to be recharged. There are two ways to charge the device: using a USB or plugging it into a socket.
We suggest that you try the different tips throughout some nights. Knowing which is your ideal size, will allow you to reach the soundproofing level longed for and you will be sure that only the filtered sound will get into your inner ear.
Find the most comfortable way to set the headphone in your ear. The device provides a 40cm long cable so you can place it wherever feels more comfortable: under the pillow, on your chest, etc. The pack includes a peg to fix the cable on your clothes.
This is all this process takes. Turn on the device, make sure the blue light is on… and sleep tight.
Through the tests and studies carried out, we have been able to prove that the device TK-500 has other utilities. If your workspace or the place where you study are rather noisy, it will help you reach the necessary concentration level so you can carry out your work. Try it, you’ll be surprised.
If you need silence to study, work on the computer or during any other activity.
PROJECT’S HISTORY AND ORIGIN
The idea of creating TK-500 started at the beginning of 2013. We wanted to invent a device that could mitigate the snoring and be highly effective.
We knew it was a global problem. Partners, companions or husbands and wives who share the bed with snorers, can barely get to sleep and rest. Generally, the person who hears the snoring is the main affected, but the snorer can not rest either because his or her sleep might be interrupted throughout the night to try to make him or her stop snoring. It was in this exact moment when the project was developed.
Now is when your experience starts!

Risks and challenges
TK-500’s development is in its final stage. The Kickstarter campaign has the goal to collect money to start manufacturing the product in order to introduce it to the market.
We have been able to bring the project almost to its final point. We have been capable of carrying out investigation, prototypes, molds and design with our own funding. Now we need your help for the last stretch of the way.
Thanks for your cooperation.
We are extremely ready to face this challenge, but we are mainly enthusiastic, which makes the problems along the way somehow easier to face.
During this developing journey, which has lasted longer than 3 years of investigation, we have come across problems that seemed impossible to overcome, but we DID OVERCOME them.
With this contribution you’ll get almost a 30% discount. You will receive a complete TK-500.
Free shipping. Limited offer. Normal price 215€. Moreover, you will receive a more complete carry bag for the product, for free.
And again, you can enjoy more than one device. This reward includes 2 TK-500 units. You never know when you will have to use it, if you have friends sleeping over, family members. There is no unit limit.
