Frequently Asked Questions
You have options! Kickstarter does not charge you until the end of the campaign, so you can pledge in the first 48 hours and be certain that you can change your mind later. As an early backer, you will get the Swordsman for free!
Or you can wait a little. You will still be able to choose the Swordsman as a $10 Add-On. It is only free during the first 48 hours, but you will be able to get it. We will add it to the front page once the 48 hour period is over.
Finally, you can wait until the Pledge Manager opens and choose it as an Add-On then. But that’s your last chance, the Swordsman is KS Exclusive and will never go to retail.Last updated:
I have an Early Bird Pledge. What happens if I need to change my pledge after the 48 hour period is up?
Congratulations on your EB Pledge! Don’t worry, everything will be fine if you use the Manage Pledge feature to switch between pledge levels. Kickstarter will move you to the non-EB pledge, which may look a little confusing, but we will grab a list of backers at the end of the Early Bird period and make sure that all these backers get the Swordsman gift. However, you must have one of the Attacking Hordes or Lone Defender pledges at the end of the project to qualify. If you cancel and rejoin, or switch to a no-reward pledge, you will lose the gift.
Remember to switch your pledge!Last updated:
Yes and if you make a $1 pledge now, you will get an invitation to use the Pledge Manager later. However, the Attacking Hordes Pledge is only available during the Kickstarter itself. (You can add The Cursed Fjord expansion as an Add-On in the PM.)
Other than the Attacking Hordes Pledge, backers that pledge for $1 will be able to pledge for any combination of items in the PM, including selecting just Add-Ons with no core game.Last updated:
I really want to get The Cursed Fjord expansion later. Can I upgrade to an Attacking Hordes Pledge in the Pledge Manager?
Sorry, you will only be able to get the Attacking Hordes Pledge now. But you can still add Dark Rituals: The Cursed Fjord to your Lone Defender pledge in the PM, it will just cost you a little more, $50. We really want to support our Attacking Hordes backers and this small discount is our way of doing it.
The good news is that you will still get all the Attacking Hordes specific SGs if you take the The Cursed Fjord Add-On in the PM. The only difference you will see is the $5 price change.Last updated:
I am afraid not. The gift is part of the two Early Bird pledges and is not for backers that do not take a reward. You need to take one of the two Early Bird pledges to receive the free gift.Last updated:
A hard PVC plastic, which is hard enough to hold details well, but has a little flexibility, so the miniatures are harder to break. Parts that might bend, such as weapons, will be cast in ABS, which is a little stiffer and will remain straight. They are fully assembled before packaging, so that the game is ready to play out of the box.Last updated:
There is a lot of information in two updates. Start with this one, then read the next one.
The Heroes and other people-sized characters are 32 mm, measured from foot to eye-level. This is a very common scale. Just like people, there is a little variation in the size of these miniatures, and for the monsters, there is a lot of variation. The largest miniature is 100 mm tall, to the very top of the mini! There is an image showing sizes on the front page and we have posted more sizing images in this update:
The Heroes are on 25 mm bases.Last updated:
This is probably the most frequently asked question! We understand, our first game was a co-op.
We have posted a detailed answer in update #6. You can see it here:
There are two card sizes in the game: 63 mm x 88 mm and 44 mm x 68 mm. We will update this with numbers of cards and sleeve recommendations later in the project.Last updated:
Our updated translation plans are available on the front page.
We are still considering translating the game into Italian. This will be triggered by the number of backers, as follows:
• 100 Backers: We will translate the core rules only.
• 200 Backers: We will translate all rule books and all encounters.
If translated, rules and encounters will only be provided as downloadable PDFs.
You can see the progress towards these targets on the Community page. We are considering different plans if we exceed these targets. We will post updates and edit the front page as more information is available. We will consider treating other locales this way, if they exceed these totals.Last updated:
You can pledge for multiple pledge rewards. Simply set your pledge total to the sum of all the rewards you need. So if you want 1 Lone Defender and 2 Attacking Hordes, pledge for $390 ($100+$145+$145). If you pledge during the first 48 hours, every reward will receive the free Swordsman. You will receive SGs for all rewards.
Please note that we have no control over shipping prices and bulk shipments often have different pricing. Group pledges are allowed, but we cannot confirm that you will save on shipping. You will be charged the actual shipping costs. Very large shipments can be costly.Last updated:
We have looked at this very carefully and we are unable to organize an Add-On during this Kickstarter. Please check update #28 for more details.
We were overwhelmed by the interest in these resin minis. There has been too much interest for one Add-On here to satisfy people. Please see update #27 for more details.
