Do you have any video footage from a The Chills gig in the 1980s or 1990s, or even a Flying Nun gig where The Chills played? Perhaps you just have some video capture of the Dunedin in those time periods. We want to talk with you!

We need three distinctive types of photos:

Footage of Chills gigs or Chills members. If you attended a Chills gig or know any Chills members and have video footage of them in the 70s, 80s or 90s we’d love to hear from you.

Footage of the wider Dunedin scene, particularly from the early 80s. Did you attend any gigs or parties where The Clean, The Verlaines, Sneaky Feelings, The Stones, The Double Happys, Toy Love (we could go on and on) played? We’re looking for footage of audiences and bands, but also the social scene more generally. We’d love to find Dunedin footage, but also gigs and parties from all over New Zealand.

Footage of life in Dunedin in the 1970s or 1980s? We want to paint a picture of life growing up in this atmospheric South Island town, so any footage you have from this period, however old and scratchy and seemingly unconnected to the music scene, may be of value.

This is your opportunity to be part of an important New Zealand documentary project if you have anything that you feel fits into the above please do get in touch.

Hi. I contributed $200dollars to the project and was expecting a print but as of yet nothing has arrived. I have emailed several times and did notify you that there was a change of address as well. Any idea when it will be delivered and do you need to have my new address again?

I'm slightly too young to have been around that scene at that time. I will post on Facebook though! You never know!
