All of your pets needs right in their collar!
A true 3-in-1 dog collar
"Our invention, which we call the Grrowler, was born from necessity. While riding bikes or hiking with Charlie Dog, we would end up on a trail without a water bowl. To improvise, we would be pouring water on our packs, letting him try to lick it off the ground, or even worse, squirting Charlie in the face with a camelbak."
There has to be a better way.

The Grrowler Story:
RMU is an outdoor brand founded in 2008 by a group of friends building skis literally underground in a garage. Mike Waesche, our founder, was working as a firemen full time. While firefighting, he slowly built the brand and 5 years later, it has become his full time career. Based in Breckenridge, Colorado, RMU is in the heart of mountain culture and a part of that culture are our dogs.
Our invention, which we call the Grrowler, was born from necessity. While riding bikes or hiking with Charlie Dog, we would end up on a trail without a water bowl. To improvise, we would be pouring water on our packs, letting him try to lick it off the ground, or even worse, squirting Charlie in the face with a camelbak.
"Driving home one day after the product development meeting, the idea hit me, so I rushed home and cut up one of our dry packs to make the collar. I don't claim to be the world's best sewer, but the idea was born. We have been through many revisions since and added some extra uses along the way."
How far along is the project?
We have tested the collar through many versions over 6 months and are currently working with several "dog athletes" to flush out any issues before production.
The collar is patent pending and we are currently working on different colorways and patterns to offer to retail partners. The collar does not use any coatings or sprays so that it can remain machine washable and is safe to drink from.
We are using all strong hardware, rugged fabrics, and 4-bar webbing to make sure it holds up to par with the rest of our products. RMU has 8 years of experience building everything from skis and backpacks to clothing. The best part about the Grrowler is we have a great manufacture who is ready to help us produce it right here in Colorado.

Risks and challenges
Every project has its challenges and as they say, it is hard to expect the unexpected.
RMU has been producing and selling products all over the world for many years. RMU is no stranger to the exposures of sourcing, manufacturing, and fulfillment. For the past 8 years, we have prided ourselves with on time delivery every season. The following is the overview of these exposures.
Sourcing: Fabrics and the mills producing the fabrics have minimums in which they will sell materials. RMU is sourcing all fabrics in conjunction with other products we produce, thus the amount of limited materials on the Grrowler have been decreased. Our greatest exposure is currently the lead time for receiving the buckles to close the collar.
Manufacturing: Any manufacturing requires a coordinated effort between staff and machines. We have been working with our Colorado based manufacturer for one year. We have continued to build a great relationships with our manufacturer, especially with their close proximity to your business. Problems in manufacturing occur in sourcing delays, when equipment breaks, or when there is a staff turnover. Our manufacturer has over 20 years of experience, which will minimize these areas of exposure.
Fulfillment: Fulfillment is data collection and execution on data processing. Errors occur in the data entry. Kickstarter has demonstrated across years of campaigns that data collection can run smoothly. RMU has been processing thousands of orders per year for multiple years and has a staff ready to go if the project is funded. All packaging has been engineered with the same supplier who has been helping with our skis.
Product adjustments: Between sampling and manufacturing there is exposure to minor adjustments in materials and hardware. If any supplier problem persists you may see minor adjustments in the final products. We have worked hard to choose credible manufacturers and to utilize materials that are more commonly available to help mitigate these risks.
RMU has prided itself on building durable, long lasting products. With this, we offer a lifetime warranty on all our products and 100% customer satisfaction and this project is no different. We appreciate your support and look forwarded to bringing this project to life.
