Folk, Americana, Indie… Whatever you want to call it, we play because we want to – and we’re glad that you listen. Haven’t heard us yet? Well, grab a tambourine and staple it to an old wooden chest; throw some drifting viola over a droning pump organ; slam a bass line on top of a grinding guitar and banjo (or watch that sweet little video up there)…
WE NEED YOUR HELP.
We could sit here and tell you that we want our music to change the world, and of course it would be awesome if it did, but really, we just want to put out an album - one that captures the raw emotion of who we are and what we do- and then share it with you on tour. We could sit here and tell you how expensive it is to do so – the staff, the studio time, mixing, mastering, duplication; then travel, lodging, food – but you already know; so instead, we’re going to cut to the chase:
We’ve played a lot of music throughout the course of our lives, with many talented musicians, but New Sweden feels like home to each of us. It’s time for us to do this the right way… After months of searching, we’ve finally found a recording team and studio that we’re proud to welcome to the family: Producer Ritchie Rubini, a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who’s toured both nationally and internationally drumming with The Caulfields, and Sound Engineer Nick DiDia who has worked on some of the best albums over the past decade including those of Bruce Springsteen, Stone Temple Pilots, Pearl Jam, Rage Against The Machine, Incubus and Martin Sexton, to name a few.
We’re truly honored and excited to be working with such undeniable talent, and knowing we’ll have a great album in hand, we can’t wait to hit the road and share it with you. Please give whatever you can, every little bit helps and with every little bit we are eternally grateful. YOU will be a part of this album forever and for that, we thank you.
