We've been busy prototyping, and we think our latest project calls for a Kickstarter launch.
Introducing: The Machine Era Multi.
The Multi was created out of the same desire as all of our products – the desire to create and carry objects that are both beautiful and functional.
Machined from a solid block of 6al-4v titanium, the Machine Era Multi is lightweight and unobtrusive, but incredibly strong and exceptionally practical – making it an excellent addition to your everyday carry. We think it looks pretty great too.
We love having the Multi at hand, and we look forward to hearing how you use it as you tackle adventures and the everyday.
- Width: 1" (2.5 cm)
- Overall Length: 2.5" (6.35 cm)
- Thickness: 0.125" (.3 cm)
- Weight: 0.4 oz (11 gr)
We designed the Multi to provide the most useful functions for everyday obstacles. You won’t find an entire metric wrench set or every allen key ever made – you will find a balanced tool at the ready when you need it. And it's TSA compliant, so it can go anywhere you need it.
Designed and Machined in the United States.
As all of our products are, the Machine Era Multi is made in our shop in Richmond, Virginia. We are a bit obsessive over details and quality control. Making everything in house allows us to indulge our attention to detail.
Each Multi is cut out of a solid block of 6al-4v titanium to ensure strength and longevity. Its beautiful matte finish is created by hand sand blasting each part.
We have three rewards available on two different delivery dates.
$32 reward includes one Machine Era Multi-Tool
$64 reward includes two Machine Era Multi-Tools
$50 reward includes one Machine Era Multi-Tool and one of our ever popular, and often copied Machine Era Wallet. They just look so good together we couldn't resist making this option available.

Risks and challenges
Every project has it's challenges. Because Machine Era Co. is a machine and fabrication shop, we are better equipped than most to handle issues that come with production manufacturing. Because we have our own equipment, we are able to do the work in house and maintain control over the processes involved.
The biggest challenge of a project like this one is delivering on schedule. In order to accurately calculate manufacturing time and foresee potential problems, we have not only finished a prototype but we have completed a production run and projected accordingly.
Finally, to ensure an organized and smooth shipping process we will be using a tried and true logistics company for delivery.
With two large Kickstarter projects under our belt now, we are confident in our ability to manage the entire process and make necessary improvements through the production period.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
