Hitman Holiday is a game of deduction and strategy where as many as up to 10 players take on the roles of deadly assassins. Gathered at the world's most beautiful resort, otherwise known as Paradise, these professionals are out to play a game of death in a bid to eliminate competition in business as well as claim the much coveted title of Number One.
Imagine Werewolf/Mafia meets Battlestar Galactica meets Cluedo. If you enjoy any of these types of games, its a pretty safe bet you will enjoy playing this! Each player receives one secret target to kill. There is no one in the game who will NOT be targeted by someone else in the group. The aim is to try and assassinate your quarry before they figure you out. At the same time, you have to deduce who is trying to do the same to you.
Survive by standing in plain sight of crowds and open, brightly lit areas. When you move into dim places, plant security cameras that will penetrate the darkness with their infrared. At fixed intervals, the resort's security forces will update the bulletin board with warnings to the public that certain members of specific traits are suspected to be in danger. If you notice your character's traits being targeted by another player who is lurking very close to you, it is a good time to panic. Even when you have confirmed your would-be killer through the elimination and deduction method, you will still have to live long enough to find the closest patrol man and report that person in!
Caught your killer? Good job, now for the other problem - taking your own target out.

Many of the following reviews were done BEFORE the game title was changed to Hitman Holiday, and may refer to the game as Deadly Vacation.
Undead Viking's Review: (Personal Thoughts begin from 16:45)
"There's a TON of things I love about this game...// I love the whole process of nobody knowing who I am supposed to kill, the bluffing and counter-bluffing. And I also love the paranoia that I feel when people are starting to get close!" -Excerpt from UV's video review
"Bluffing, backstabbing, and brutal murders of your buddies...what's not to like?" -Undead Viking's compliment
Bower's Game Corner Preview:
"I really enjoyed the cat and mouse of trying to hunt down your prey while trying to figure out who's hunting you at the same time." -Forrest Bower, Bower's Game Corner
Dice Tower Network's Preview: (Personal Thoughts begin from 5:50)
"A game full of intrigue and deduction; placing you in the position of both the hunter and the hunted. Tense, strategic, competitive, and all the while entertaining.." -Brian Bremner, Gamer's Remorse
"The main virtue of Hitman Holiday is that it keeps the tension throughout the game... ultimately provides a breath of fresh air to fans who like games with high doses of interaction and bluffing (acting)" -CUBO Magazine

We have also been mentioned on Casual Games Revolution, which is selective of Kickstarter projects to feature. They are another magazine authority on gaming. http://casualgamerevolution.com/magazine
"Hitman Holiday offers a creative take on deduction and point-to-point movement games and separates itself from the drudgery of the extreme amount of sameness currently plaguing the board game industry." -David Lowry
"...(sic)Deadly Vacation is a fun board game that takes the whole hidden agenda type game to the next level. Given the choice between Hitman Holiday, Werewolf, Ultimate Werewolf, One Night Ultimate Werewolf, or Famous ORIGINAL Ray’s, I’ll take this one hands down." -Game And A Curry
"...and you know what? We enjoyed this game so much our group played it not just once for reviewing, but TWELVE times during the short month you allocated us for the game..." -Excerpt from email with Dusan Vit, Deskovehry.com
"Hitman Holiday is a ton of fun as you sneak around this tropical paradise, hoping to gain the upper-hand on your opponents. It plays unlike anything else I've seen, with a constant air of distrust and suspicion. If you like Battlestar Galactica or The Resistance, this is the game for you." -Mark Meredith, DiceMonkey
"Hitman Holiday manages to blend a tactical movement and bluffing mechanics into a fun fast paced game. Each game feels unique because the different assassin powers and starting locations mean you have adjust your strategy each time you play. Hitman Holiday could easily be a chaotic mess, but the addition of the assigned target makes the game much more focused. The game scales well as you increase the player count and doesn’t increase the time played significantly. Hitman Holiday would be a good fit with a larger game group looking to play with 5-8 players." -Tyler, Boardgamequest.com
"...the mechanics are so ridiculous I can't help but love it. So you're a hitman, hunting another specific hitman in sort of a circular targeting system. You're moving around the board, laying bombs, setting up cameras, avoiding police, all to kill your target. Oh and you need to make sure you use the bathroom and eat... like The Sims. I'm a fan." -Daniel Zayas, The Meeple Mechanic
We were also selected among the Best KS Games of the Week for Feb 16'15 by NVS Gameplays (Only 9 selected)
"A good production from a new designer and company - I'll definitely keep my ear to the ground for their future releases." -Robin David, DiceOnFire
"If this is their first game, we cannot wait to see what the rest of their future products will be like. I am throwing in my lot behind a studio as potential as Medieval Lords." -Bryan, Toytag.com
"Needless to say I'm excited for this project and can't wait to see how it develops throughout the campaign." -Vincent Paone, DadsGamingAddiction.com
The following is a video showing a Random Public Test of the game with complete strangers!
"I am surprised the other players did not stress on this, but a very strong point of this game is that it can handle as little as 2 players, and as many as TEN players... And of course, any amount in between!" -Random Public Tester, 26th Jan '15
"It is by far a lot more interactive than, say, oh... Agricola, or Terra Mystica. If you're sick to death of yet more bloodless games of planting, harvesting or upgrading buildings & collecting all kinds of VPs, get ready for something VERY different! If you delight in testing your deductive skills & acting chops, give it a try!" -Lawrence, Selected Public Tester

Unboxing Video (Dice Monkey's Mark Meredith):
The following video was recorded by Conquer001 a.k.a Morris Seng who, in his long-winded charm we have come to love, breaks down the entire game play across a whopping thorough 1 hour.
Note: If you view this video from Youtube, you can skip to specific portions as Morris has placed detailed timestamp bookmarks in the video description.
150 Word Quick Summary of Game Rules:
Each player is assigned a target to kill. Each turn, players have 4 Action Points to move around or trigger zones. Playing of cards and planting of hidden objects do not require any Action Point. At the end of a turn players must turn the 3 dials on their sheets by 1 each, unless they have visited the required places during that turn. Players can visit the 5 Cache locations and draw additional Hidden Action cards. Every 2 turns, players must reveal a clue about one trait that their target has. After 3 kills, the game enters the second phase. There is no difference between phase 1 and 2 other than for tracking the game duration. (Think of it like Half Time in a sports match) After another 3 fresh kills, the second phase is over and the game ends. The winner is the player with the highest score.

Our artists have managed to get out the final Rulebook in time to post it up here. You can download and read it before deciding if you wish to commit to the project. Enjoy~! Assurance of Quality:
We believe in giving the very best quality! We chose to go with all the best options of production choices - priority being durability and practicability. For example, we could choose to just produce the game with minimal component standards such as a 1.5mm game board. However, we chose to spend more and cut on our own margin to provide a high quality 2mm thick game board. Similarly, instead of the original cardboard standees for characters, we ended up going for more. No, we went beyond even meeples! We are producing actual hand crafted miniatures to give a more realistic 3D feel.
All of the game components were decided in this same manner, and they all had almost no impact to the customer's price tag at the end of the day - anything that we could absorb by simply taking a smaller margin, we did. Even the original mechanic of using mere tokens for the Needs mechanism in the game has been replaced by the much more expensive 'dials' system on every character sheet in the game. Here at Medieval Lords, it is always the passion of gaming first, before we talk about profitability. This is our very first game product - we will give it 200%!
This is a true blue genuine Kickstarter story. Whether or not we turn into a real company with a line of excellent products for you to enjoy is in your hands - literally. Hitman Holiday is our debut game.
We are here in Kickstarter not to have an easy way out. That is why we are only calling for the amount we fall short of. From this game alone, you can already tell the direction of Medieval Lords is to focus only on games that are truly unique or can introduce refreshing new mechanisms and themes into the gaming world. Give us a chance to show you what we have in store...
We make a solemn pledge with this project, that we will churn out amazing games for the world. Count on it!
"We really wanted to make this game as unique as possible. It was created to fill the missing gap of a game where players can become assassins who match up against each other in a realistic setting. In the real world, assassins rarely ever burst in with guns blazing since the likelihood of dying can be pretty high and they only have one life each. Instead, they do their utmost to be low profile and cautiously plan their kills. Another myth buster is that most real life assassins do not look like James Bond or Jason Statham. That old woman you often see making her routine trips to the market in the morning could be as much an assassin as anyone else. We designed the characters to be interesting and from various walks of life. Lastly, players are not invincible. They need to eat and sleep and poop! This also doubles as a game mechanism that prevents 'camping' as well as open up more options for killers to prey on their unwary victims while they take care of their daily needs." -Dominic, Designer of Hitman Holiday
The Designer of Hitman Holiday was also interviewed on The Fiver by 5 big names in the industry:
We would also like to give a shoutout to BoardtoDeath Luca and his teammates for their contribution in improving Hitman Holiday from its early stage into becoming the smooth game it is now.

Risks and challenges
To minimize risks, we have already invested cash up-front to sculpt all miniatures and ensure that their original copies and molds are well made and ready to be delivered upon mass production. In fact we have also made the full components of everything else in the game too! However as of today, there are only less than five such completed sets in the world, meant to be sent out to reviewers for reviewing. They are literally finished copies by themselves already. You can see the actual finished components in our reviewers' videos! (We need KS to fund the full mass production)
The only other potential delay is then on shipping itself. However, we have already worked very closely with our trusted logistics partners to ensure everything will be as smooth as possible. We have worked on every single route from shipping to USA, to Canada, to the EU, and even to Asia and Australia regions. As always, there is risk nevertheless. Should there be possible delays, we will keep you updated at all times!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
