We have added cool crossover Black Souls tiles from The Networks Executives. We have added a really nice special boss tile featuring the Castle Dukes dragon as a boss here in Black Souls. We have added very cool extra Scoring Boards to the game for all 6 players. We have made an awesome AI for Solo Mode. We are adding 1 extra die to the game for Solo Mode too. Still we are short by that really small amount! To push things further, we are now throwing in something MORE again! We will produce the mini-expansion and include it into all your sets for no additional cost - yes, FREE!

Designer Inc's latest video game title Black Souls has achieved international success! Hailed as one of the toughest digital games ever, it has attracted millions of hardcore gamers. The secret behind this huge success lies not in just making an extremely difficult game. Anyone can do that. The true challenge lies in balancing it to be as difficult as possible, but still fair enough that the very best players can survive to the end. Alas, the game studio is heavily short staffed and the management is looking to hire one more Game Designer for developing more content in Black Souls.
You have been given a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be hired by Designer Inc as a level designer, an integral part of Black Souls' development team! As one of the finalist candidates, you must prove your designing skills under the judging eyes of your future employers in an 'Early Beta Access' trial to create a level that best reflects the spirit of Black Souls - a very difficult, yet fair game. A group of professional playtesters will be sent to try out your carefully designed level, and provide feedback on whether they like or dislike it. If the level is too easy, they would not feel challenged at all. If it is too hard, they would all be killed and find it unfair. Who will be the final candidate to be inducted into the ranks of Designer Inc?
ALL Kickstarter copies of Black Souls will have every single promo featured above for free. These are on top of any stretch goals unlocked during the campaign itself.
In Black Souls, players are candidates vying for the dream job of being a Game Designer on an internationally successful video game. They must design a beta level for the game, balancing difficulty with good matrix. First, they will design their own dungeon crawler levels. Then they will lead a professional team of playtesters through the very levels they just designed. Whether the playtesters like the design or not, depends on how challenging the levels are, as well as if at least one survives the level. The game is played in 2 phases - Design phase, followed by Gameplay phase. During the Design phase, players will play Bid Cards simultaneously to snatch first pick on their tile of choice from a common pool.
Note that Bid Cards also have special abilities that help the players in some way. It is important to play these abilities at the right time, advancing the players in their strategies. Once each player has a tile, they immediately place the tile onto their own individual Design Board. Tiles can be placed on any of 3 levels, but must always fill the leftmost space if it is on either level 1 or 3, and must always fill the rightmost space if it is on level 2.
If players' Bid Cards clash, they go last regardless of their numbers played. Also, their powers do not trigger. However, each player has 2 Hacks which allows them to ignore this penalty.
Once all players have completed their level designs with 12 tiles each, phase 2 occurs and players take on the roles of the professional playtesters sent to test their levels.
On each tile, the party must clear the location by resolving ONE type of hero to die. In the example shown, the party will clear the current tile location by killing just 1 Fighter, or 2 Mages, or 3 Healers. The last value on the tile is the Difficulty rating of the tile and is only used for end-game scoring.

Black Souls will be charging shipping straight off from the campaign itself. There will be no additional cost after the campaign to watch out for - unless you are getting add-ons of Castle Dukes. Thanks to Quartermaster Logistics, we have managed to get affordable shipping! They do not handle the Asia+Australia regions though, so the rates for these places are not going to change too much. We did have a long internal meeting, and decided we wanted everyone to be happy still. So we will also reduce the shipping by just that tiny little bit through our own pockets for folks in these places.
For this relaunch, we also managed to find a way to give great savings on combined shipping, so get a few buddies and pool them together! The minimum for the savings of combined shipping is 3 copies though.
Lastly for Singapore only, we have the luxury of having our headquarters here, so we can allow local pick-up at the Battle Bunker retail shop. If you are fine with doing self-collection at Battle Bunker, there is a special tier just for Singaporeans to do so, and this will then bring your shipping down to as low as what the US backers are enjoying - which is about US$9. There is STILL shipping charge, because we are shipping the games in from China, and they are not manufactured locally.

Medieval Lords will officially be working under the banner of Battle Bunker Productions for this game. The same folks from Medieval Lords that you have come to trust over the multiple Kickstarters will all still be on the team, but with more firepower now that we are part of the Battle Bunker family. Medieval Lords has upheld a strong reputation despite its smaller following simply because we do right by our backers, and we have a track record of delivering our previous KS campaigns EARLY! That's something to boast about!
