      Glad you didn't go with the IEEE/IEC boxes. They're a lot less intuitive, especially with simple logic gates. I've been drawing "spades and shovels" for many years.

      I like the idea of including a Gray counter; there are other fairly common things (e.g. ring counter, shift register) you could do with that 4-stage circuit.

      I do hope you will freeze the design at this point. I like what you've got now, and would rather get it sooner than wait for another round of changes.

      Looking forward to a future 30cm/12in version with room for more complex but common building blocks-- muxes, half/full adder, maybe wider versions of the logic gates, etc. :-)
