What is Mesozoica?
Mesozoica is a theme park simulator in the vein of Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis, a game where you take prehistoric creatures and create several scenarios in a theme park of your own design. A land of opportunity where the player has free control over what he/she puts into her park, what she charges to enter the park and how the prehistoric creatures look and create.
Mesozoica is different because it is evolutionary. It is one of the only tycoon games to let you play the game through several different perspectives as well as an optional, but immense quest system. the project is also making strides in customization which should allow the player to change everything from how their creatures look, to how they react.
The three kingdoms
Life has not always just existed on land, so why should we only give creatures that live on land? No, there is a fantastic array of creatures adapted to an aerial lifestyle or an aquatic lifestyle present in the game as well. Adding the two addition kingdoms of animals means more design challenges for the project but it also means we can offer a lineup that hasn't been seen in any game to date.
Building your park
Prehistoric creatures and a great amount of diversity we offer with them is only a portion of what Mesozoica is. Mesozoica is a tycoon simulator a majority of the player's time will be spent playing from the manager perspective building park utilities, pens and attractions. To further our goal of deeper and more rich customization options we have included a slew of different buildings, attractions and a new swing on hatcheries.
Having a wide variety of prehistoric creatures to choose from is beyond important for Mesozoica. During our 9 month pre- development cycle we tried to knock this challenge out as soon as we possible could and thanks to our top tier modelers we were able to accumulate a pre-development roster of 40 + creatures(fully modeled, either animated or ready to be animated.
Below are just a few of those creatures.
From the initial announcement of Mesozoica we decided as a team that we would include anyone and everyone that wanted to give constructive criticism and ideas for the game. To often do team gets bogged down in deep development and lose site of surface issues.
Over the past 9 months we have seen a one of a kind community begin to grow around the game. We have seen concept skins, concept ideas and suggestions that make so much sense it goes from suggestion to development board. Being as transparent as we possibly can with fans through facebook groups dedicated to the project and even including skins that fans have proposed is a fan service that we believe is necessary to pay the fans back for helping us get Mesozoica running.
It's our hope that through the entire development process we can continue to have these open discussions with fans on twitch, on the forums and on facebook.

Risks and challenges
Mesozoica is a indie game being developed by a indie team. There will be mistakes ahead regardless of how we approach development, because mistakes and challenges are apart of the game development process. Without the failures we wouldn't be able to catch those game breaking bugs and crippling graphical bugs. Expecting them is one step ahead of understanding them which in turn allows us to fix them.
The core development process is outlined below.
Closed Alpha: Preliminary game state with basic foundation of the game
Open Alpha; Larger testing group with additional features added to the gamestate that we tested in closed alpha and polished between the stages.
Closed beta: Smaller testing group than Open Alpha, larger than Closed alpha. Gamestate nearing a enjoyable and playable experience. (Note: this state could come many months after Open Alpha)
Open Beta: final checks on the game before a initial launch. A polish smorgasbord .
