We have just snagged top SF writer Ken Liu for the anthology
Hello everyone, and thank you so so so much for your support of Everyone: Worlds Without Walls.
We come out of the gates like a shot with our Kickstarter, and reached our minimum goal of £3000 in the first 5 days – what can I say but WOW!
So as I said... this means that the anthology is a go – we’ll be pulling together some terrific stories by some amazing authors in one fabulous e-book, and now thanks to our community stepping up and asking for it we’re going to put out a hard copy version and an audiobook too! As you know we are celebrate hitting our first Kickstarter goal by announcing that we’re going to have a story in the anthology by the amazing Lavie Tidhar. What a star!
Well, guess what?
We have another HUGE treat now! We have got a Ken Liu story that has not been published online ANYWHERE!
There’s a whole team that has stepped up to make all of this happen, between good friends of the District like Dee Cunniffe, Robyn Bradshaw, the fantastic Skyboat Media, all the great writers who have already come board, and every one of you who has pledged your support, sent along messages of encouragement, and spread the word about what we are doing here – that’s the District of Wonders community that gives me hope for this whole world!
Now we’ve still got just about 3 weeks left to go in the Kickstarter, and we’ve got some great stretch goals that we can achieve together. If you haven’t pledged yet, or if you have and want to check out some of the great perks you can get at a higher pledge level, please go on over to the Kickstarter link and help make Everyone: Worlds Without Walls all that it can be. We’ve got a couple of fantastic stretch goals - £5000 - we will bring in 5 more writers; £7000 - commission 3 brand new stories to go in this collection – and I’m adding in more freebies, rewards, and new content all the time. This is going to be one great collection, and we can make it happen together!
Let’s bring some light into darker days, celebrate the strength in our diversity with some great stories, and stand with our heads held high for the values we believe in. Support Everyone: Worlds Without Walls today, and spread the word!
