A prototype is a preliminary model of something. Projects that offer physical products need to show backers documentation of a working prototype. This gallery features photos, videos, and other visual documentation that will give backers a sense of what’s been accomplished so far and what’s left to do. Though the development process can vary for each project, these are the stages we typically see:

Have you ever searched for a small device that has a lot of useful functions, that is in a high quality design and very small to cary it with you all the time while traveling and for your adventures? Then you should have a closer look to the C700 cube.
Imagin that you have to carry all the different products with you: Light, Alarm-Clock, Power-Bank and so on. The C700 is small and combines all what you need.
The cube is only 41mm x 41mm x 41mm (1.62 inch x 1.62 inch x 1.62 inch) and approx. 100g (0.22 lbs).
Since beginning 2017 I started to develope the C700 Gadget Cube. Component chosen, circuit boards designed and tested on the first prototype.
Through months of developing and producing 3 series of functional prototypes, I switched now to the fourth final prototype serie in summer 2018.
At the moment I am in final programming phase. All primary functions are working! Time, Temperature, Humidity, Barometer, Compass, Accelerometer, Buzzer, LED with 1-100% DIM level, 5V Charge output for mobile devices, Charging internal LiPo Battery.
Programming is planed to be finished till the end of the campain. There will be one month testing phase to elliminate possible bugs with a group of testers. After the testing phase the product will be external electronically tested to finalize the CE and FCC certification.
Production will begin when the campain was sucessfull. First Cubes are planed to be shipped out in April 2019.

Risks and challenges
Quality and the amount of high precision sensors and components has its price. Also I chose panasonic hight quality capacitor in order that the product will live long. The High Quality Swiss Made CNC Aluminum case, in black elox was higher than expected. But the quality is astonishing and it gives the cube a luxury design. In total the price is higher than firstly expected. But acceptable if all is taken into acount.
Searching for an OLED Display also took a lot of time. There are serveral to buy, but if you plan to go for 1000 pieces or more you have to design your own board and solder an OLED on it. Also to secure the supply management.
Shipping was also not an easy tasks. Global well known shipping companies, whanted 30$ or more per package. At last but not least I found a good partner to ship the cubes.
