Hi there!

I’m Alaina of Alaina’s World Thoughts, and I’ve been on a quest since last year to discover whimsical ways to improve the world. I’m also a teacher and an artist, and most newly I have been facilitating a project that is an offshoot of Big Class, an educational organization from New Orleans that promotes collaboration between schools and communities.

This Alaina's World Thoughts/Big Class Boston project that I’m facilitating consists of a group of amazingly talented Greater Boston students writing imagination-fueled fiction, Boston artists illustrating their stories, and finishes by publishing a book of their teamwork for the community to enjoy.

Our first book project is titled Where All The Problems Start, and features amazing stories from nine young writers along with a matching number of illustrations by epically talented artists. Our next book project (which is yet to be named) will begin its creative process next week - and we are over-the-moon excited about it as well!

But, in order to publish our books, we need some assistance. We are already up, up, and away with the creative processes, but the publishing costs are bringing us down. Printing and promotion are expensive, but super important if our books are ever going to make it to the students, artists, and community at large!

That’s where you come in. Contributed funds would be used to cover the costs of printing/promotional materials for Where All The Problems Start and our upcoming collaborative book project. Your contribution will not only make our publishing dreams a reality, but will also empower writing and art by supporting creative collaboration.

So, what do you say? Will you help us out?

Alaina :)
