We're from Unallocated Space, a new hackerspace located in central Maryland. In the past three months we've gone all the way from idea to securing a space and now we're coming to you to ask for your help.
A hackerspace is a location where people with common interests, usually in computers and technology can meet, socialise and collaborate. A hackerspace can be viewed as an open community lab incorporating elements of machine shops, workshops and/or studios where hackers can come together to share resources and knowledge to build and make things.
Unallocated Space is a collaborative technology and hacking space in Severn, MD. We hold open hacking events, teach classes, have parties, and do pretty much anything that gets people making stuff - our mission is our member's missions.
Our members have taken care of the rent, but as we prepare to move into our new space, we're asking you to help us financially to build out our space. We've spent the last few months accumulating all sorts of things, but some things will require us to purchase them. All donated money will go directly into building out the new space.
We're thrilled about the possibilities our new hackerspace space will bring, and we sincerely appreciate your consideration in helping us build out our space.
