About this project
The project itself is being created for the Dogfish Head Off-Centered Film Fest. The guidelines are simple: a film of up to but no longer than 5 minutes, must feature Dogfish Head in either the script or product placement, and it must be 'off-centered.' Check out the website: http://www.offcenteredfilmfest.com/home
We currently have most of the necessary equipment needed for filming: 2 Canon T2i's, some lighting and sound equipment, a small crew of 6 friends and a good location. The shoot is scheduled to tentatively take place over the course of 2 nights on an upcoming weekend, which should be ample enough time to get what's needed.
Having recently been shelved for a newer model, my personal incoming funds have come to a screeching halt. But I'm so seriously passionate about finally having the opportunity to merge my two favorite things in the world (film and beer), that I opted to come to you all for assistance.
The money raised will be going to various different props and costumes as well as any entry fees. Purchases need to be made from the Dogfish Head store, embroidered clothing sites, custom patch companies, and anywhere I can find the necessary Dogfish Head brews. And these brews, rest assured, are extremely necessary and featured props.
I thank you profusely for taking the time to peruse my Kickstarter page for 'Grilled Dogfish,' and thank you violently if you decide to pledge. And for your own sake, perusing the internets can be a tiresome thing; so go reward yourself with a nice cold beer.
Last night, after only 26 hours, Grilled Dogfish was fully backed on Kickstarter, the final $25 needed by a fine gentleman from Idaho with whom I have no known connection!!! Thanks Richard! For those of you who pledged, thank you tons! For those of you who wanted to pledge but didn't have the opportunity, you still can! When concocting my budgetary needs, I shot low to make sure my goal was attainable. However, Grilled Dogfish could still use your help. Any additional pledges will go to extra lighting equipment, a set dressing kit, shipping costs not initially included, and food for the crew amongst other things. Based on what I've read in regards to the OCFF rules, after the festival I will hopefully be able to enter Grilled Dogfish in to various different short film contests around the country, so additional pledges will also be going to those entry fees. Remember, there's no obligation to pledge what so ever. Because of you guys, I've already reached my funding goal in an uncannily short period of time, and I am overly ecstatic and humbled! Thanks again everyone!!!
