Thanks to everyone for making this project a great success! We are happy to hear such positive feedback and we are listening to the not-so-positive feedback with equal attention. The learning process is what Kickstarter is all about and we hope that our Nope Community will continue to nurture our process of evolution with their honest input.
While we have done our very best to deliver a great product on schedule, we have heard that there may have been some size and color confusion when assembling and fulfilling the orders. There have been some backers that received the wrong color, size or quantity. Your satisfaction is very important to us and we humbly apologize for the mix-ups.
This is quite understandable, though, when you consider that we offered everyone their own unique combination of sizes and colors. For a product that comes in 2 colors and 3 sizes, with some customers receiving 20 Nopes a piece, this means that we had a total of 53,130 possible combinations! We wanted to make everyone happy by letting them choose, but we have certainly pained to learn the importance of simplicity!
Processing over 6000 individual custom orders over the course of two weeks took a considerable amount of time and effort from a lot of people. Some of our helpers may have made a mistake. We are answering all of your inquiries via email.
During the Nope campaign the black color option was still in the design phase. During that time, we learned that ordering magnets in the true black color would produce a low quality product that would become scratched too easily. It wasn't until the inventory was received that we realized that the higher quality material we chose turned out to be more of a gun metal black, rather than the flat black shade. The metalic shine on this material looks a bit silvery in the light. This might not have been exactly what everyone had in mind to begin with, but in our opinion, the black and silver options look equally attractive and sophisticated.
We have tested Nope on many laptops and desktop computers with satisfactory results. Here are some points to keep in mind when installing your Nopes:
When putting your orbiting magnet into place, a few people have reported that it refuses to stay in place over the camera. This is caused by magnetic flux and, it may be corrected it by moving the base magnet to a different position, like above or to the other side of the camera.
If you need more tape, it is available on our website for only $1. http://www.bungajungle.com/collections/all/products/extra-nope-tape?variant=1053723924
