The Mysterious SORG Regime

It's time for the next update :)

Today we'll talk about the SORG regime, a powerful force that came close to eradicating the Noma civilization during the “Last War."

The Ark's inhabitants have feared the SORG regime for 400 years. After the war, the Noma Descendants' only chance of survival was to abandon their planet and search for a new home. Because the Last War lasted more than 200 years, everyone forgot why it happened in the first place -- and who shot first. This is one of the mysteries that InSomnia players will have to solve during the campaign -- as well as:

  • What were the reasons why war broke out between the SORG Regime and the Noma Republic?
  • What does the SORG want for itself?
  • Who do they own allegiance to?

Your character WILL face SORG units whether you want it or not. First you'll find old SORG technologies guarded by SORG Golems, or even more menacing units. At some point you will have to time travel, visiting the dying mother planet of Noma several months before the great Exodus took place -- when the 4th Noman Army and several million civilians fled their home planet.

What is the SORG regime?

The army consists of a very strange mix of biological organisms and electro-mechanic technology. Their soldiers are retro-futuristic cyborgs, with varying proportions of biological tissue and mechanical body parts -- for instance, you will meet SORG bots that are 95 percent robots and SORG “gomuncul,” which are mostly organic. The only thing you need to know about SORG units is that they are really tough, and very dangerous.

Different SORG units have different functions and they support each other intelligently. Our designers are creating SORG units with paintings, drawings, sculptures, you name it. Expect to face a a great number of SORG in InSomnia, each with unique abilities and specializations. Do you think you have what it takes to survive just one day on the journey to the Evacuation Point?

And we have a publication on PCGAMER.COM! =)

The designs look great. A nice mix of retro and futuristic, robot and human. Can't wait to see them in action!

Thx for info about this Enemy, but now i have more questions than before reading. Will wait game for researching in this branch.
So, we have organic robots, originaly all of them were are humans. Tech level of the SORG Regime is more advice than Noma's technologies. But the Noma Republic has a huge space ship. Can SORG Regime build other ship or not?
      p.s. nice publication!
