First Week of Closed Beta: Done!
Hello everyone! It’s been a week since the first beta test started, and our team is really thankful to everyone who has taken part. Today, we’d like to give you a quick update on how the test is going.
You can’t imagine how nervous we were when the beta keys were finally sent. It’s been two years since the last time we’ve shown actual gameplay (you do remember INSOMNIA Prologue, right?).
The current beta has generated lots of feedback that has been useful in many ways. Thanks to your suggestions we now have a better idea on what needs to be fixed and/or improved in the first place. Expect an update to the beta build approximately next week with the following improvements:
- additional English localisation (item names and descriptions anyone?)
- FPS cap removed
- in-game settings save properly now
We were also able to fix around 30 additional bugs that players have submitted so far, including those related to game save/load problems, crashes and the crafting system.
All of these improvements were possible thanks to your feedback, so keep it coming! We are still VERY interested in receiving bug reports and comments about each and every aspect of INSOMNIA. This is the BEST way for our team to understand what needs to be fixed/improved from the perspective of players.
INSOMNIA nets two awards and gets interviewed
One other thing that we wanted to bring to your attention. Last moth our team took part in DevGAMM 2018 - the biggest conference for game industry professionals in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. Our team has submitted INSOMNIA for the “Excellence in Visual Art” and “Best Desktop Game” awards, and boy were we surprised to find out we won both of them. Here’s a picture of the two trophies ;)
