About Mockingbird Games
Dr. Scout Blum, owner of Mockingbird Games, has been teaching using games in the classroom for about 5 years. She's seen games help engage kids and help develop their critical thinking and problem solving skills at a variety of levels. Mockingbird Games was created to focus on empowering kids by helping them move their game design ideas to a marketable project.
So, when you're supporting a Mockingbird Games product, you're also supporting the empowerment of kids, and helping kids work from start to finish on a project they can be really proud of. And we're helping introduce young people to the fascinating and rewarding hobby of tabletop games!
In addition, we remain committed to environmental and social causes as well. For that reason, for every donor who supports at the $30 or above level, we'll make a donation to the World Wildlife Fund - an organization that works for wildlife preservation.
Reviews of Face to Face
"A refreshingly simple concept executed exceptionally. I was astounded to find out such a young mind developed this wonderful game. A must have for every family of any size."
Jacob Messervy, Owner, Fanatix of Troy

About the Designer
Aidan Blum is a 13-year-old 7th grader from Montgomery, Alabama. He got the initial idea for his game at a Game Design Merit Badge class through Boy Scouts. When he's not playing tabletop or video games, he enjoys playing saxophone in his school's band and playing soccer. He also enjoys bugging his mom about when his game will turn up in stores.
NOTE TO INTERNATIONAL BACKERS: Please contact the publisher via the comments if you're interested in receiving the game.
Risks and challenges
This is our very first Kickstarter project. We've learned a lot about the process - and we're hoping to make it run as smoothly as possible. However, we know there will inevitably be some problems - we'll work through them! The game has been fully prototyped and is ready for production. It has been extensively playtested and revised. The problems we anticipate are simply the uncertainties with any Kickstarter project - how many backers will we have, for example. We're also facing some uncertainties with production time. The game will be produced in China, so we'll be subject to both their Christmas and Chinese New Year holidays, which may produce delays.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
