(Long answer:) Not even a little! It turns out we underestimated the reaction that this project would get right off the bat. We are ecstatic with the support, both financial and emotional, that we have received from friends and family, but it doesn't stop here. With more funding comes better equipment (better lighting for those choreographed dance sequences, better lenses for our dramatic close-up on Isaac's mustache, lav mics to record our dulcet speaking tones, and so on); more funding means we can have food onset so that the cast and crew working 8 - 12 hour days can be fed; more funding means paying cast and crew for their time and ensuring a professional set to create a professional product; finally, more funding means better post-production editing (software, color correction, etc.) and publicity.
We are thrilled that in the first day we reached our minimum budget goals, but now we have an opportunity to make something really great with a real(-er) budget. So please, if you have 5 or 10 or 50 or more dollars and you want to be part of something wonderful, donate to the New Mayor of New York. Vote for Nathan! #NewMayorNY
