Thanks for taking a look at our page! We are Doomsday Games Co. and we are looking for backing to manufacture and ship you this game! We had proofs created, played with a ton of different people who loved and wanted it, so we thought we would give it a go. This is a great game for 2 - 6 players (18+ if playing with the drinking rules).
"I'm the best in the family at crib. But when it comes to cutthroat crib, I'm the worst. Or at least I think..I can never remember since I'm always drinking! Highly suggest!" - Corey, Camrose, Canada
"I never thought crib could get much better, but boy was I wrong. Throw in a few new rules, a filthy mind, and large amounts of alcohol and you get a cutthroat game unlike any other. Cutthroat crib is a great game that is sure to produce lots of laughs and even more drinks!" - Kris, Lethbridge, Canada
"To anyone who has ever played crib, the changes of CUTTHROAT CRIB add a NEW TWIST to the old favourite. Anytime there's drinking (and the opportunity for even more drinking!) it doesn't hurt either. With or without drinking, a fun game to play." - Mike & Shelley, Vernon, Canada
"Cutthroat Crib. A unique twist (of lime with a shot?) on an old favourite. I am a big fan." - Rick, Cranbrook, Canada
"The Doomsday version of crib is a lot of fun." - Shelley, Edmonton, Canada
Let us start off by saying, this ain't yo Granmama's Crib! Muggins who? How about miss 4, drink 4, sucker. Terrible at dealing, got those fumbly fingers? There goes your crib. This game is not for the faint of heart. You need to be quick on the draw and confident in your counting. And when your opponent(s) screw up, you have to be quick to call them out so they have to take those shots or drinks (or lose those points).
The strategy you use in this game will be similar to that of regular crib in that you look to keep the highest hand that helps you in the pegging round as well as the points round. Or, if it's a party night, throw caution to the wind and play your cards so you have to drink the most. Up to you!
Regular cribbage rules can be found online and if you haven't played crib before, we suggest you take a look at them. They are very easy to learn but basically, of the 5 or 6 cards dealt (depends on number of players), you want to keep the 4 cards that give you a run (2, 3, 4, 5), a double run (2, 3, 3, 4), share the same suit (ex. all spades), and/or give you any combination of cards that add up to 15 (5+10, 9+6, 8+7, 4+4+7, etc.) - the rest go into the dealer's crib.
The difference with Cutthroat Crib is that you want to play strategically to land in the bonus holes, as well as play to the other rules (included with the game) that cause your opponent(s) to drink (or lose points). If we are being honest, the real difference is that this is way more fun and you get to drink.
When you Risk and win by the little hair on your chinny, chin, chin..(this is the prototype CC board):
Here's what happens when you land in the Re-deal hole and throw down when your opponent has a smirk on their face:
Points, points, points for me and shots, shots, shots for him! Tenderness hole doesn't disappoint:
Don't like to drink? Too bad. Just kidding....we have made a version as well that's based on points not drinks. We fully support sober Sundays.

Who We Are
We are Whitney and Matt, the names behind the games. We came up with this game one night while trying to figure out what we wanted to do. That was about 8 months ago and here we are now! We used a local company to make our board design a reality and come up with our slick logos for both our company and this game.
As for Whitney, she has a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, NCSO, OHSC and has been playing crib since she was 4 (which is really the most important part). Her grandparents taught her how to play crib and University taught her how to drink. The combination of the two is what you get to experience. She has her own business in the city of Edmonton, Canada and chooses to spend most of her time working, playing ball or volunteering. Her creative ideas are sparked by her partner (both life and games company) Matt.
So, who is this Matt fella. Well, he has a red seal journeyman certificate in plumbing and has been involved in construction for 17 years. He started playing crib with his dad when he was a kid and developed a passion for the game. He and Whitney have been equal partners in designing the game, rules and the logos for the company. Matt is great at a lot of things, just not winning Cutthroat Crib.

Risks and challenges
Some of the risks include not being fully funded which means the great backers of Kickstarter that did fund, wouldn't receive their awesome game and merchandise. We believe in this game though, so if it's not fully funded on here, we plan to find the funding as we already have tons of pre-orders! That just means that getting the game into your hands would take longer.
Another risk is that our selected manufacturer could experience delays which means we would be delayed getting you this game. In an effort to achieve full transparency, we would keep all backers up to date on any delays we experience.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
