January Update! - Blind Playtesting
I hope everyone had a very good holiday season! We played CvL a lot during the last weeks and here's the update for January.
UI and Rules Revisions and Playtesting
We have printed a new prototype in order to be able to playtest and went right in with two new player groups at a local event, who never had seen the game before.
Watching them play, we realized by now the many additions we made to the game left the board a bit cluttered, so we decided to do a full UI revision and remove or simplify components that can be either implemented into the player board, or substituted with other components that do not take as much space.
Fear not, the core game didn't change! It made the game smoother to play and less fiddly, so we think its a great step forward.
We even sent out the game to some of our designer friends who have worked on big titles, and they loved our game.
Production is going smoothly and we keep playtesting as much as possible. This game comes with 10 (11) Campaign missions and the Scenarios, so there's a lot to playtest, but given that the core mechanics are working I am very positive about finishing this so it can go into production as soon as possible.
