FaceCradle Production is ready in September 2016 for delivery for Kickstarter backers in October 2016. We will deliver to the high quality standards you would expect! (Note: Kickstarter will not bill you until the Campaign end on Oct 1 so we would ship after that). Countless hours of design and development, prototypes, samples and testing of all the components and the complete product are all behind us. So FaceCradle is much more than a great idea!
We are opening the oven door and smelling the great aroma of what we have made! Our friends and family are now enjoying the sleep they have longed for each time they travel and now, so can you!
We have realized that people all over the world desperately want to sleep on planes, trains, buses and in the back seat of cars. Some also want to take a power nap in the gate lounge or at work, or while studying. So we want to take FaceCradle to the world as fast as we can!
Our factories require up to 50% deposit up front for our orders, we have to pay for distribution, warehousing costs etc, a huge investment. We also have to present the product to distribution partners and retailers to open up the channels. This involves making connections, attending trade shows, sending out samples, making quotations and in some cases visiting potential customers in their global offices. We have to produce a lot more marketing information like point of sale merchandising, brochures and materials that help explain to the masses, the benefits of buying a FaceCradle.
Our initial teaser video post on our Facebook page showed incredible support for FaceCadle in many countries. You can read the comments about the video on www.facebook.com/facecradle. What was really amazing is we spent less than $100 to boost it and received around 500,000 views! So with your help, we hope it won't be long before we achieve our Kickstarter goal.
The big Retailers today, rarely buy a product if they can't see the demand immediately, so we want to reach as many people world-wide as we can, to let them know about this great product. Your support will ensure that hundreds of thousands of people get to learn about the benefits of FaceCradle, so they will then immediately start asking about the product in those Retail stores. It is so crucial that products sell from day one, when a Retailer stocks it, otherwise they could mark it down just weeks after receiving it, killing the product instantly.
Of course any great idea is bound to be copied, right? We have already invested a lot to establish our patent protection which we understand to be very strong and these costs will start to escalate.
FaceCradle is too good not to launch it professionally, so please lock arms with us in unity, to make the initial production quantities, put the distribution and marketing in place and to make this work together!
Risks and challenges
Given the product design, development and testing is complete, we have reduced many risks already regarding product quality and reliability.
Our next challenge is to ensure our new born leaves the nest and survives it's predators in the global market place and that our intellectual property (Patent, Trademark etc) ensures FaceCradle's design isn't copied.
FaceCradle's inventor has designed, developed and marketed over 30 products globally so the path of pitfalls has been traveled before.
Resistance is expected to be met in the market place from existing travel goods companies who have representatives by the thousands, ready to put FaceCradle down to protect their products. So we must reach the Retailers and Consumers to gain their confidence beforehand.
We have experienced some people commenting that the Deep Sleep Mode looks odd and they would be embarrassed to use the product.
Logic says that when the lights are out on a long haul flight for example, who cares what you look like! No sleep makes you look much worse! We think those comments come from people who haven't traveled because those that have, would think sleep is far more important.
FaceCradle has 5 comfort modes, one of them is the same as a regular neck pillow, so the worst result is you get one of those! Deep Sleep Mode just happens to be one of the most comfortable!
We therefore have to re-assure people and give them confidence to buy FaceCradle. As we all know, the consumer masses are followers, who gain comfort from those who are brave enough to adopt great new products early.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
