"Bummertown" is an animated comedic short written by Adam D'Arpino and William Pearson. Thanks to some really nice and talented people, the audio has already been recorded. We're looking for $1500 to get this thing animated by a pro so we can send it around to film festivals, production companies, and anyone else that might want to check it out and, ideally, make some more!
We'd like to thank Evan D'Arpino for helping out with the Kickstarter video and designing what we think is a pretty snazzy logo, Anthony Cacace for helping out with the audio, Dan Bookbinder, Sam Friedman, Ricky Nelson and Cyp Stevenson for lending us their tremendous voice acting talent, and you for donating, or even just Tweeting and sharing on Facebook!
Risks and challenges
Professional animation is expensive. Like really, seriously expensive. We've gotten as far as we have in the process of getting "Bummertown" created on the cheap, with the help of some generous, talented people. But animation is something we can't skimp on if we want to create a quality product that will be entertaining and look professional to shop around to potential buyers.
We're are both creative professionals with a great track record for collaborating and completing creative endeavors. As tykes in the (terribly named) band Yellow 5, we helped to write and record two full-length albums. Since then, we've churned out orchestra pieces, string quartets, comedy videos, magazine cover articles and more. If the project is funded, we're sure we'll be able to find an animator that can bring our vision to life.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
