The Woodworker’s Clubhouse, as the name implies it is an open access community woodshop that members can use the fully equipped woodshop for their woodworking projects. It is a place where people with a common interest in woodworking can meet, socialize and/or collaborate on their projects…a place to share resources and knowledge in a social/educational venue. It provides a place where they can use expensive tools and equipment they would not otherwise have access to.
Ideal for individuals that:
-Are just starting out in woodworking.
-May have downsized and no longer have the space and tools
-Would like access to tools they may not have the resources to have on their own
-Have their own space but would like to use a tool they may not have.
The Woodworker’s Clubhouse will also offer classes dedicated to woodworking. Whether an export or a novice we will have classes of interest to everyone. We will have classes covering the introduction and safe operation of the machinery; classes to introduce kids to woodworking, to project classes such as “Build your own Butcher Block”
Please note that the club is not for commercial or contractor use, this is a community woodshop...It’s your shop!
We are getting close to opening our door and have hit a wall and need your help to get us over the top.
What the funds will be used for
The funds will be used to cover unanticipated and unbudgeted expenses associated with making our space compliant with unforeseen building code requirements. If we are fortunate to raise more than what is required those funds will go towards additional equipment that is on our wish list.
We have set up our rewards so that you can either take advantage of the workspace and classes. Or if you do not live near Western New York, but think this is a cool thing that you would like to support, we are offering items that are based on some of the actual classes we will be offering. These items will be hand made by our staff specifically for you!
Handcrafted Wood Puzzle and we will also email you the directions to solve it once you have had a chance to try it out.
