Season 2 is ready to go!
SEASON 1 of Untitled Web Series About A Space Traveler Who Can Also Travel Through Time was made entirely possible by the fans that wanted so much to see more of the adventures of Inspector Spacetime than the glimpses they got on "Community." They, along with The Inspector himself, Travis Richey, and a small army of volunteers, willed the 6-part series into being, and by all accounts, it exceeded expectations.
Over 400,000 views, translated into 12 different languages by fans around the world, and packing convention rooms at Gallifrey One and Wondercon, USA Today called the series "The Best TV on the Web" in 2012.
Earlier this year we ran a successful campaign to shoot just the prequel episode, which finished shooting in mid June. Fans will get a taste of the new look and feel for the series very very soon, and we now are ready to begin funding the full Season 2 shoot, with the goal of releasing the entire season before the end of the year.
Season 2 is scripted and ready to go into pre-production NOW.
Oh, but we've still got some surprises in store for you guys...

We've landed some very exciting guest stars for Season 2, and we'll be announcing them over the coming weeks.
VOICE OF "RED" - Mayim Bialik (Blossom, Big Bang Theory) is providing the voice of The Inspector's sentient time machine, the B.O.O.T.H.

BERNARD - Robert Picardo (Star Trek: Voyager, Stargate: Atlantis) will be Guest-Starring at Bernard, the mysterious family physician...

ANNABELLE -Chase Masterson (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Doctor Who Big Finish) will be Guest-Starring as Annabelle Wagner!

CLARISSA - TO BE ANNOUNCED
RODERICK - TO BE ANNOUNCED

MEET THE NEW DIRECTOR - NICK ACOSTA
Nick is the director of such amazing projects as Battle For Hogwarts, Riddance, Friend Request, and the 50 Shades of Grey fan-film & trailer! His visual style combined with the comedy and complexities of Season 2 are going to result in an incredible next chapter in the chronicles of The Inspector!

The reason the Season 2 budget is so much larger than the Season 1 can be attributed to several things. First, Season 2 is going to be about 3 times longer than Season 1. Instead of 6 parts that are around 3-4 minutes apiece, we'll have 6 parts that are approximately 10-12 minutes.
- Season 1 running time: 19 minutes
- Season 2 expected running time: 60 MINUTES
Also, on Season 1 all cast and crew volunteered their time. Besides just being the right thing to do, it would be impossible to get the level of quality that we're working towards for Season 2 without being able to offer the cast and crew some pay.
So, $25K (Season 1 budget) x 3 + minimal pay for cast and crew = $125K
That simplifies it a bit too much. We also will have things like location fees and production insurance - things we didn't have in Season 1, but you get the idea. If it helps, each episode of Game of Thrones costs $6 million...

Here's a breakdown of the PERKS and which levels get them. At every dollar amount, you get EVERY perk ABOVE that amount!!

If we are fortunate enough to exceed our minimum budget for Season 2, in addition to making the show better by getting access to better equipment, locations and art direction, we will reward all of our fans by producing MORE content than just Season 2 itself!
$200,000 - RADIO SHOW!
If we reach $200,000, we will produce an hour-long episode of Untitled Radio Show About A Space Traveler Who Can Also Travel Through Time.
We will use a script written by one of our fans, and FANS WILL VOTE on the winning script! The lucky winner will get paid for their script and have it produced professionally, featuring the voices of the series actors!
Plus, EVERY SINGLE DONOR WILL GET TO DOWNLOAD THE EPISODE FOR FREE before it goes on sale to the general public!!
$300,000 - GRAPHIC NOVEL!!
If we reach $300,000, we will produce a 6-issue graphic novel series (we're already started writing it!) exploring the origins of Boyish the Extraordinary, Piper Tate, The Inspector, the Circuit Chaps and even the BOOTH!
Plus, EVERY SINGLE DONOR WILL GET TO DOWNLOAD THE DIGITAL VERSIONS FOR FREE before the issues go on sale!
$400,000 - OPTIC POCKETKNIFE REPLICAS!
Yup. Optic Pocketknife replicas. :-)
We're put out details on this if we get close to this amount.
Risks and challenges
Having completed Season 1 of the series, we've shown what we can do with a budget. Season 1 was called one of the best TV shows on the web in 2012 by USA Today, and we received accolades from dozens of news sources.
Also fans have shown that they're willing to support quality comedy/sci-fi entertainment.
We've already got the script, most of the crew, and prop designers on hold waiting for the green light.
We have learned lessons about what costs to reasonably expect when producing this particular series, and we have designed a budget to adequately address those concerns.
