About

Welcome to Earth in the 26th century.

The ability to fold space has been discovered and with this, the one way portals known as Heaven Gates were constructed. Colonies were established throughout the stars. These colonies thrived for a time, until war engulfed Earth. The once prosperous colonies closed all borders in fear of the war reaching their fragile settlements. Even the vast floating city-states of Venus ended all contact.

For 300 years, Earth has been isolated, cut off from her colonies. Much has been lost, including Earth's own Heaven Gate, Seraph. But Earth's solitude has come to an end. Over the past decade three lost colonies have turned their Heaven Gates towards Earth and made contact with the birthplace of humanity.

Once again teetering on the edge of global instability, these colonies are vying for position to take control of Earth and her vast resources. Unbeknownst to all, a greater threat dwells deep in the Patagonia Quarantine Zone. The Malacost have emerging all over the globe to wreak havoc and chaos.

Choose a faction, build a team, and engage in covert operations.

Once you select a faction, choose which models, weapons, and equipment you want to take, you'll be ready to battle it out with another player to secure objectives, assassinate key targets, and cause chaos in order for your faction to gain influence and covertly change the course of history.

Each faction starter will include finely detailed resin models and a PDF rulebook.

Novus troopers and an officer on a jet bike secure valuable intel

Novus Republic - The first successful extra-solar colony. Settlers found a resource rich world with a fresh water ocean and breathable air. A near perfect world that was easy to terraform. Crops grew easily and abundantly. Being disconnected from Earth has led to an authoritarian regime to exert control over every aspect of life. Most people are farmers working on government owned land with little to no possibility to improve their lives. The military is very large and well equipped, requiring every citizen to serve time in the military upon reaching adulthood. The government of the Novus Republic have come to Earth to reestablish trading outpost to gain wealth and influence so that they can extend their oppressive control over smaller, and weaker colonies.

Aaken Blasters and Dozers blocking a vital path

Aaken Monarchy - Coming from the seclusive twin planets Phrixus & Athamantis, the ambassadors to the Aaken Monarcy are in desperate need. Although rich in resources, these planets are near inhospitable. Rotating around each other cause massive tidal waves of lava to cover the planet. As the planet cooled the receding magma left giant lava tubes. Within these tubes organic sludge formed which excretes heliox, a breathable gas, into these tubes and created an atmosphere within the planet. Unlike the tubes, the surface is completely barren and inhospitable. This sludge is the first organic compound found outside the Solar System. The settlers here live underground, breathing the heliox, and mine for resources using plasma tools. The guards to the delegates wield these large mining tools as they have adapted them for weaponry. The organic sludge farms that sustain the vast webbed mine cities have been inexplicably failing, leading to large sections of the mines, and cities, to be cut off from oxygen. The Aaken Monarchy has resorted to opening up it's borders to find a way to save it's people and will stop at nothing to preserve their proud, but fledgling culture.

Two Aptera and three Actaeon charge into battle

The Malacost - Driven underground after the Patagonia bio-engineered plague of the 22nd century, geneticists, virologists, stem cell researchers, and anyone else considered morally corrupt had their research confiscated and all new testing banned. Out of fear and a desire to improve humanity with their research, many fled to the only place with no regulation: quarantined Patagonia. There they could experiment and improve humanity. With nobody to experiment on they resorted to testing experimental drugs and gene modifications on each other. For four hundred years they rapidly changed their bodies and minds in their image. No longer hindered by the bounds of traditional humanity, they see themselves as humanity perfected. Now they set their eyes on the rest of humanity with scorn and pity. The Malacost are now appearing for the first time all over Earth with the intent to spread their superiority by bringing the gift of mutation anyone they can, willfully or not.

Three Lothian gladiators with drones sneak behind enemy lines

Lothian Technocracy - The beginning of the Third World War spelled disaster for corporations as their countries were bombed to nothing. The Lothian Colony invited all companies and corporations to set up headquarters on their numerous planets in their star system. In exchange for financial stability these corporations were allowed little to no oversight in their research. These mega-corporations banded together and with their great power and influence set up a puppet government that inevitably gave them almost absolute power over all residents in the Lothian System. Unrivaled technological advancement meant that the government and anyone with enough money can monitor all aspects of a citizen's life. This has become the norm and all privacy has been forfeit. To publicly test their new technology, corporations host gladiatorial battles. These contestants are raised from birth to fight. Parents see it as an honor to give over their infants to the corporate gladiator trainers in exchange for a small stock in the company. The best among the gladiators have devout followers and are celebrated celebrities. For corporate executives and government officials these gladiators provide security and are unofficial assassins to take out their rivals. The Lothians have returned to Earth for two reasons; searching for new technology they can assimilate, and to influence Earth and other colonies with their advanced technology and wealth.

Players agree on a points limit and choose a mission to play. Players then build a list with their chosen faction. Supply your characters with weapons and equipment. Once lists have been built, set up the board on a 3 foot by 3 foot playing field. Deploy your models on the battlefield according to the mission and roll for the first turn initiative.

The player who rolls higher chooses to go first or second this turn. Take turns activating models one at a time until all models have activated. Once activated, each model may take two actions (nominate a leader that gets 3 actions per activation).

The actions include:

Move - Move your model across the playing field.

Aim - Focus for a boost to your next shooting attack.

Shoot - Shoot at an enemy with a weapon.

Charge - Run towards the enemy for an extra, more powerful attack.

Fight - Engage in hand to hand combat.

Stabilize - Bring a friendly model back from the brink of death to fight again.

Each model can choose any combination of actions. If they need to get somewhere fast, move twice this turn. Have to kill a tough target? Shoot at it twice. Stab an enemy in melee and then retreat to cover. It's up to you how to use the actions.

Some equipment has a special action to allow the model to do things like set out a force field for cover or project a hologram to confuse enemies. These actions can be used in addition to the two actions each model gets and does not replace one.

After each model has activated the turn is over. To start the second turn, roll for second turn initiative.

Control objectives for points, or annihilate the opposition for a decisive victory.

All models shown will be produced in resin and will come unassembled and unpainted.

Risks and challenges

The sculpts are all done, however minor tweaks and changes may need to occur to produce the models in resin. With any new venture there are inherent risks. Being a one man operation, the biggest risk would be not getting the rewards out on time. However, I have allowed time in the estimated delivery date for keying the models, making the molds out of silicon, and casting the models.

By pledging this Kickstarter you acknowledge that the final appearance and contents of the pledges may differ slightly from what is presented at the start of the campaign.
