GenCon was a blast and it was awesome to play with some of you. And wow, did we play a lot of Upwind - I ran 24 hours worth of sessions through the Indy Game Developers' Network and Indie Games on Demand venues! The players were all great fun, and I had the single best Upwind one-shot experience ever!

In this season's adventure, one lucky player gets to define the fraught relationship they have with the NPC foil introduced at the beginning of the story - and in this case he picked estranged ex! Within 15 minutes, and despite my carefully presented plot, the rest of the table had decided that the real mission was to reconcile this player and his ex-wife! It only got better from there...

Another highlight of the show was finally getting my actual physical hands on an actual physical copy of the Upwind corebook! As shared in a previous update this is only a proof copy of the Print-on-Demand version, but it was super-exciting nonetheless. Even as POD the book is beautiful and it's clear the off-set books the backers will soon get are going to be gorgeous!

Speaking of off-set and backers, as soon as I finish going through this proof and any corrections are made, the template will be used to produce the off-set print files and then we are in the home stretch. But, if like me you can't wait, here's a silly little flip through preview...
