Here is how we will invest backers money into the SideBuddy project:
The SideBuddy was born from an idea that the inventor Jordi Hans had when he was left wondering how to improve bicycle transportation. He saw that most cargo bikes on the market had limited features .
Jordi shared his ideas with interested colleagues and in 2013 our team formed. We began work on a project that we believed could transform bicycle transportation in urban areas. Allowing to transport multiple combinations with your bicycle or e-bike. Throughout the concept development and technical development phase more creative features were added as new ideas flooded in. In 2014 a physical prototype was built within the first year new partners got interested in the project and we got a little funding from the European Union in 2015 for 50% of cost for a pre production prototype in summer 2016 the pre -Dog prototype was ready and after performing technical tests we felt ready to launch our product to the market.
We believe in our product because it was created to help others looking for an upgrade in how they use bicycle transportation. We have personally tested the product in our own lives, listened to the cargo bike community and worked hard to provide the features they want to see.

Risks and challenges
We've already successfully developed the second prototype in Sweden based on high quality products with our engineering and production team in Scandinavian countries who have extensive manufacturing experience.
Risks are often prone to the unknown. A more relevant risk to the project is of a shipping delay (especially to U.S.A.) caused by quality issues and manufacturing. In order to commit to high quality products, we give quality control a higher priority than delivery schedule. Moreover, we need to get components from suppliers. The more units we order, the more bargaining power we will have. Suppliers usually give priority to bigger customers if there is a limitation to its capacity. To prevent this, we will be sourcing from multiple places. However, we already have 90% of the material all the way through the production process.
Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
Every company faces these challenges, but rarely do consumers see these challenges. Our biggest tool for battling these risks is having previous experience bringing prototypes from concept to full production, including working with contract manufacturers and shipping internationally. We know that building physical goods is a dynamic process with lots of room for hiccups along the way. We will keep an open dialogue with all of our backers through frequent, transparent, and thorough updates.
