In a world where alien nano-technology IS magick, you must use it to defeat your opponents and become the Most High Supreme!
GRID Traveler: Magick Journey is a 2 - 8 player strategizing adventure board game based off the GRID Traveler Trilogy sci-fi book series. The theme of the game is set about 100 years further in the future. You take on the role as one of 16 different characters to acquire materials to fuel your Ancient Alien nano-technology powered magick and defeat all your opponents to become the Most High Supreme. Players may engage in ship-to-ship combat, person-to-person combat, or both!
In the GRID Traveler Universe, Magick is possible because of Advanced Ancient Alien Nano Technology (A3NT). Centuries ago, a semi-secret religious organization, known as The Most High Goddess, integrated itself in all aspects of human society. Their goal was to discover the origin of Magick and once humans ventured out into space they eventually did find the origin.
In our distant history, Aliens visited earth. The Aliens performed what humans perceived as magick, which created our belief in magick and the rise of The Most High Goddess. Magick Journey begins about a hundred years into the future at the end of the GRID Traveler Trilogy series. The board game is an alternate history in which some of the main characters of the book have become powerful Necronians that visit the “present” timeline of the main game characters. Some characters are portraited as regular players AND Necronians.
For game play - The ultimate goal is to acquire two types of Nanytes (artificial and biological) created by the Necronians, different types of materials, and defeat your fellow players.

The MSRP for this game is $87.99 and will be commercially released after all backers' game pledges have been fulfilled. Artwork, digital, audio and hardcopy editions of the GRID Traveler Trilogy book, and stretch goals will not be included in the commercial release.
Risks and challenges
Even though this is our first Kickstarter campaign, we are not new to the publishing world. Mythical Legends Publishing, LLC has been publishing hardcopy books since 2012. We are experienced in packing and shipping products worldwide and understand that there may/can be delays in the production, and shipping part of the pipeline.
GRID Traveler: Mythical Journey has been completed and the earlier prototypes have been game tested. All artwork and text content were done in-house by our team. As a book publisher, we know errors are almost impossible to eliminate on the first several passes, however, we will continue to proof and tweak the rule book and game card text, to ensure a game that is error free.
Because of our experience with printing/shipping delays and problems we will be using one game printer/distributor who has years of experience in handling large crowdfunding projects.
Of course, as mentioned earlier, sometimes things go wrong, especially with large scale projects. We believe in transparency and will keep our backers updated with the project no matter what.
As noted, the standard game set will be printed and shipped from one location.
The printed book editions will be drop-shipped from our partner printer/distributors (IngramSparks, Lightning Source, and CreateSpace). Signed copies will be shipped from our office location.
Some stretch goals may also be shipped from different locations.
Future Support and Development:
GRID Traveler: Magick Journey is part of the ever growing GRID Traveler universe. We plan on creating new and exciting expansion sets like a co-op edition, mobile apps, and tie-in games. And, of course, we'll continue to grow the GRID Traveler series on the print side.
