Moving the dial
We've had tremendous amounts of activity by our supporters in the last week, yet the "dial" has not moved. I am aware that people are still "bouncing off Kickstarter's paywall" and this has probably severely impacted our campaign in the early days when we needed to gain momentum.
I've written to Kickstarter about the problem. The best I have received from their Director of Customer Relations amounts to this:
- Ask people to use a different browser.
- Perhaps they have not got enough credit to pay. Ask them to contact their bank.
Neither of these options are available to me as, for the most part, I don't know who is trying to pledge and therefore I cannot contact them.
I was hoping they might be able to contact people who had tried to pay with an apology and a request to "keep trying" but, so far, this has been refused. An extension to the campaign has also been refused, which I understand.
So, does anyone have any bright ideas on how we "move the dial"??
I'm hoping we'll be able to announce some major press attention shortly, although it will all come to nothing if people are unable to pledge.
