OPTIMAL THERMAL COMFORT IN DENIM STYLE
We incorporated OUTLAST® Certified Space Technology into indigo denim. OUTLAST® technology was originally developed for NASA to protect astronauts from extreme temperature fluctuations in space.
OUTLAST® "Phase Change Materials” proactively adsorb, store and release excess body heat, while reducing your sweat production. Your skin’s microclimate is well-balanced, so you feel “not too hot, not too cold – just right®”.
You experience the next level of optimal thermal comfort with our OUTLAST® Temperature Regulating Denim, less sweat in summer and less chill in winter!!
SPACE TECHNOLOGY x TOP LEVEL OF CRAFTSMANSHIP
We teamed up with a long-established textile manufacturer, Chugoku Boshoku from Hiroshima, Japan. Developing denim with OUTLAST® Technology was a challenge.
After two years of trial and error, we finally created OUTLAST® Space Technological Denim by weaving OUTLAST® “Phase Change Materials” into indigo denim.
Outstanding craftsmanship and technological capability made this project possible. Our OUTLAST® Space Technological Denim meets the highest global standard of quality and reliability. It is officially certified by Outlast Technologies LLC.
OUTLAST® Space Technology Infused "Future" Denim
Our OUTLAST® Space Technological Denim is of the highest quality and created using the best construction. All of our jeans are handmade in Kojima, the world's "Denim Mecca", Japan.
We are ready for production and will bring it to life in our sleek, super slim design.

PROACTIVE HEAT MANAGEMENT
OUTLAST® technology utilizes “Phase Change Materials” that proactively absorb, store, and release excess heat. It was originally developed for use in space suits that NASA astronauts wear. The technology will continuously balance your body temperature and holds superior temperature regulation, offering you optimal thermal comfort.
The "thermo-molecules" in the threads are what make this technology possible. When you are in a hot climate, the thermo-molecules will absorb the excess body heat while preventing heat from the outside to enter.
Then, once you start to cool down the thermo-molecules will release the stored heat back to your body, keeping your body temperature comfortable and stable. It continuously regulates the skin’s microclimate and balances your body temperature within a comfortable range.
PROACTIVE MOISTURE MANAGEMENT
OUTLAST® technology is different from wicking technology, which manages moisture by pulling sweat away from your skin. You have to sweat first before the wicking technology works.
OUTLAST® technology works based off a change in your body temperature. If your body temperature is increasing, OUTLAST® will proactively manage the heat before the production of sweat begins. This results in less sweat and more comfortableness for you!
Our focus is quality and affordability. We work with a new mindset to branch off from traditional ways, cutting out middle agents to keep the costs as low as possible.
We chose crowdfunding as a platform to deliver our Space Technology Infused Denim directly to you at the most affordable price point.

KOJIMA GENES x SAN FRANCISCO PROJECT
KOJIMA GENES is a 20-year-old Japanese denim maker based in KOJIMA, OKAYAMA, JAPAN. KOJIMA GENES focuses on creating innovative and quality denim at an affordable price point. Our Jeans are made with daily wear in mind, and bring you our jolly spirits in the form of denim.
Two years ago, our journey has started with the simple idea, to bring MADE IN KOJIMA denim to people around the world. We launch the project from San Francisco, where our team members are based, in this beautiful city by the bay also known as a “GATEWAY TO THE WORLD”.
CHUGOKU BOSHOKU, TEXITILE MANUFACTURER
CHUGOKU BOSHOKU is based in Fukuyama City, Hiroshima, Japan. Ever since establishment in 1948, they strive to develop the highest quality fabric with new technologies that meets the customer’s needs.
They consider environmental protection and ecological issues very seriously by selecting materials with small environmental loads and building a cleaning system for wastewater.
We love crowdfunding for the community aspect it brings while we live up an innovative idea. Through our first campaign, we have learned a lot from our supporters and that this opportunity is extremely valuable to us. We always welcome any feedback (positive or negative). If you ever need to contact us for any reason please do not hesitate to contact us at email@example.com
PLEASE SHARE THE WORD!
We are working hard at expanding our project, as we chose to do DIY marketing. We would love and appreciate it if you all can share us with your friends and family. We are also on Instagram and on our webpage.
SUPPORT INDUSTRIAL CRAFTSMEN AND FACTORIES!!
The textile industry in Japan is dwindling. In 1960, there were around 70,000 textile factories in Japan. That number has dropped to 15,000 in 2010. Our goal is to create great jeans while supporting textile factories and craftsmen!!
Thank you for supporting our craftsmen and factories by backing our jeans!
Please pay close attention to the sizing and measure your own jeans to get accurate numbers.
Size charts from KOJIMA GENES are measured 360 degrees for the waist and flat for the remaining measurements. All the measurements are in centimeters except for the waist size.
Please measure your own jeans and compare that to our size dhart. KOJIMA GENES products are made little smaller, so please consider picking one size bigger if you are between two sizes.
※We offer hemming of the inseam for $15 per pair. Please note the hemming is only available from 34 inches to 32 inches. If you are interested in the hemming, please add $15 to your pledge.

Risks and challenges
This is our second Kickstarter campaign. Shouldering the valuable knowledge and experience we gained from our first campaign, combined with our 20 years of creating jeans, we are confident we can deliver an awesome pair of jeans.
That being said, there are a few things we need to address.
All of our jeans are hand-made and shipped from Japan. Unexpected delays may occur but we will make sure we will be on top of things and let you know if something does happen.
Delays may happen when shipping internationally as each country has their own customs regulations.
Although extremely unlikely, if anything unexpected happens, we will make sure you are the first to know.
