What's in each reward tier, bookmark add-on & our other books!
Hello again! Welcome to the final hours of the Oddworld: Abe's Origins Kickstarter campaign!
We're now 300% funded, which is amazing news! Thank you all.
We've had a few recurring questions on the optional bookmark add-on and how backers can go about securing that, so we'll be covering that here. Additionally, given that a large number of stretch goals have been unlocked, we thought it would be useful to state clearly what exactly is now included with your pledges.
By managing your pledge via the 'Manage Pledge' button that backers will see at the top of our main campaign page, you can adjust the total amount pledged without losing your original backer number. On the mobile app, the button is at the bottom of the screen on the project's front page.
Adding £8 to your total pledge will get you the Abe Set of four bookmarks featuring our lovable Mudokon friend in different forms.
We'll be using a pledge manager after the campaign ends, which is where you'll select your rewards, specify benefactor names, supply shipping info and more besides. If you choose to add on the £8 for the bookmarks please don't worry that there is no immediate change in your reward details as this will all be handled by the pledge manager post-campaign.
We'll have more on the pledge manager, what it is and how it works in a dedicated update tomorrow.
Whether you opt to take advantage of the optional bookmark add-on or not, all backers will receive the free bookmark voted for by backers earlier in the campaign (see here).
This bookmark set will also be available to purchase via our pledge manager after the campaign ends. That said, the more pledges via Kickstarter the better chance we have of unlocking our final stretch goal: the Kickstarter exclusive dust jacket for the book.
We are in the process of producing further bookmark sets to add to this one that will be purchasable via the pledge manager, but we're not in a position to show these yet. As with the project as a whole, our goal is to concentrate on quality and so we're working to make them a meaningful addition.
Stretch goal unlocks
Thanks to your interest and passion this campaign has been a great success. We've just reached the 300% funded mark, which is amazing. Your support has meant that we've unlocked a large number of stretch goals along the way.

We didn't create a stretch goal for it, but we've added digital editions of the art cards to the Game Collection tier.
That means Oddworld: Abe's Origins Game Collection backers will be getting digital editions of everything contained inside the box. Perfect for collectors who don't want to open up their presentation packaging!
As you're here...
Whilst we have your attention we also wanted to take a moment to say thank you once again for your support and give a little extra info on us and what we've done previously.
Both of us, Stace Harman and John Robertson, have worked in various roles throughout the videogame industry over the past decade - including in journalistic capacities, game design, writing, photography and authoring books.
We have previously raised funds on Kickstarter to create and publish Independent By Design: Art & Stories of Indie Game Creation, a book that looks at the world of indie game development, its philosophy and its goals.
Independent By Design: The Transcript Edition is available now in very limited number as a two-book set, presented in a rather large and beautiful slipcase.
This edition includes every word of every interview that we conducted with the 26 studios and individuals featured in the book and can be found on our website here.
Amongst those include in the book are: Vlambeer (Nuclear Throne, Ridiculous Fishing), The Chinese Room (Dear Esther, Everybody's Gone to the Rapture), Dennaton (Hotline Miami), Chris Hecker (Spy Party), Croteam (The Talos Principle, Serious Sam), Roll7 (OlliOlli, Laser League) and more.
Do check out Independent By Design, if it sounds like your kind of thing.
Thank you for your continued support. We're very much looking forward to creating the book and game collection for you all!
