Debussy Mirrored is an exciting new ensemble formed in 2018 to honour, celebrate, and creatively respond to this important composer.
Using his music as a starting point the ensemble takes us, through re-composition and improvisation, into unexpected territories. Exquisite and at times provocative, the band combines the talents of some of the most outstanding performers from the fields of classical, jazz and world music, including singers James Gilchrist and Brigitte Beraha, flautists Rowland Sutherland, Gareth Lockrane and Jan Hendrickse.
With Loose Tubes flautist and composer Eddie Parker at the helm, the band played its premiere at Cheltenham Music Festival in July 2018, with further concerts in the Autumn in York, Bristol and London's South Bank. BBC Radio 3 are broadcasting the London concert and this and recordings from York will form the basis of the ensemble's first CD release.
Fans have commented: love the music, but where's the CD? The Kickstarter campaign will put this right! It will pay for the manufacture of the CD, the licensing of the broadcast material, artwork, and pay towards a concert to launch the CD in 2019.

Risks and challenges
It's always wise to anticipate problems when making a CD. The main one is timing: will the artwork be ready by the print deadline? Will the manufacturing process be completed so that the product will be in our hands in time for the launch gig? For this reason I've been very generous with the delivery date - August 2019 - but this is a worst case scenario. I'm hoping that the CD will be ready long before that, and that a launch gig will happen in late Spring 2019.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
