Update 10: A note for console backers, GenGAME interview, Steam Greenlight, Knoll

Hello! We're very happy to see that pledges are going up again. We have a lot of interviews coming up next week to hopefully advertise the campaign to a lot of people. Let's keep pushing!

A quick note about stretch goals

The way stretch goals are presented make it look like the game will not be ported if we don't reach the goal. This isn't true! Right now we have plans to port Midora on all platforms and consoles possible. Console ports will happen no matter what, it's just a matter of time. If we don't reach those stretch goals, that only means the game will be ported later. With the extra money from stretch goals however, we can hire a few people to have the game ported while we're making progress, which in turn means releasing the game on consoles sooner, or even allowing us to release simultaneously.

We've been told that stretch goal backers often cancel their pledges at the last minute if there isn't enough money. That's one thing we really don't want to see happening! As of now, we know that quite a lot of you are console backers. Pledging $10 will get you a console copy, it's only a matter of when! We will make sure to get back to all backers whenever the game is released on an extra platform or console. But to do that, we need to have a solid $60,000 from you guys to make sure the game happens in the first place! Don't let all this hard work go to waste!

GenGAME Interview

Mhyre, the game director, recently did an interview with Ben Lamoreux on genGAME where you can learn everything you need to know about the game (gameplay, story, etc..). It is one of our best interviews! Click here to read it.

Steam Greenlight

We are now live on Steam Greenlight, so go ahead and vote for us!

Knoll

Knoll is a mysterious thief with split personalities. He is believed to work for multiple entities, spying and whispering in exchange for money. He does not care about anyone but himself and only helps those who can pay the most. His past as well as his ability to fight are unknown, obscure. Even though he appears to be rather weak, nobody knows exactly what he's capable of.

The name "Knoll" is a mix between two things. The character itself was inspired by fictional creature "Gnoll". The 'G' was changed to a 'K' to mean "Knowledge" in the world of Midora.

@Bram The Book of Knowledge is now available for $40, shipping costs included! And yes, PC / Mac / Linux versions will be available on Steam, as well as other platforms. Steam keys will be given to people asking for one.

Sadly can't edit our comments... Since I wanted to ask if you'll give out Steam keys when the game is released (since it will get on Steam eventually of course). It might also be nice to add it to the FAQ if more people have been asking about it (Sorry, haven't read all of the comments here).

The project looks great, We wonder what kind of add-ons you're planning on adding.
We're really hoping for a hard copy of the Book of Knowledge, let's just hope it's below $60,- if you're adding it.

@Florian That's true, but we did not think about it. We are actually developing our own language for the game. It's not a real, complete language though, just a few words that translate into english. Some of them are english words or very close, but with a different meaning.
